Review: This book is a little too simplistic for my taste. I suppose if you didn't know how to turn on a machine it might be helpful. I was really kid of disappointed. .... I returned mine.

Summary: Excellent book that deserves a lot of attention.
Review: This book is amazingly helpful and useful in every aspect. It's as good as it looks and as helpful as it's front page discribes. It's simple to use layout is a dead giveaway. All you have to do is look inside and you will know that it's easy style is suitable for everyone. I must admit that I haven't read this book to the extend that I know everything about flash but it's good to always know that it's there when you need it. The tasks in this book are easy to get along with. If you are a keen flash user then this book is ideal for you. and those of you who are not keen on this will still find this book a rewarding purchase.

Summary: A good book to have on a nearby desktop.
Review: This book makes me feel confident, like I am working with a net. It treats you to the nitty gritty of Flash 5 in Bite size, 2 page chunks. A bit slow and dry starting for me, but a great way to learn Flash. I found the screen shots of the console could be more helpful if I could see them better. Not all Flash developer "gonna bees" have perfect eyesight. Otherwise, I would have given the book 5 stars. It is a well priced entry and advanced level self-teaching guide.

Summary: Very good tutorial
Review: When I started reading this book, I was a little skeptical. It started off kinda slow and I had the feeling that I wasn't really learning anything...but, you realize later that you have an incredible foundation in Flash without ever thinking about it. I found that after completing the book I had the steps to creating scenes, shape and motion tweening, and making movie clips carved into my brain. It is basic as far as the drawings, but it really had a way of helping me to retain the info. I work as a programmer, and wanted to learn a little flash for fun. Now I am actually showing the flash developers at work a few tricks! The new experience I gained in flash added a new element to my skill set which makes me much more valuable as a web/database programmer. What you can do with hover buttons alone is worth the price of this book...

Review: Wonderful for anyone interested in Flash. The pace is never slowed to explain the ins and outs of basic computer use, yet everyone should be able to grasp the concepts explored. It was worth the [money] I payed; get it now for [less]!

Summary: Incredible book about Flash
Review: Wow I'm almost at the end of this book and it's simply marvelous what the author can teach you with such an easy to follow narrative. Mr. Kerman has the ability to teach you advanced stuff with simple step by step examples..he is the best Flash writer I've read. He is the FLASH TEACHER!!.. This book is an uncommon "Teach Yourself in 24 hours" book, because he goes beyond the basics and while you read you feel that you have learned and learned well and understand what you just read. This is the FLASH book to learn. Then get an advanced ActionScript book and you will be a FLASH PRO.. A WINNER!!
