Rating: Summary: Reference for PeopleSoft Excels beyond other texts Review: As a consultant, this really is a terrific reference. I found the level of technical detail to be very, very good. I agree with the other reviewers that also indicate this book is very well done. The author really portrays PeopleSoft is a good light, and as a justification to move to the PeopleSoft Platform, I found this text to be right on the money!
Rating: Summary: Not Useful Review: For Peoplesoft consultants this book is of no use.The back cover says detailed 'step by step guideline ' is of false information. Mostly who buy this book must be a peoplesoft consultants who are involved in the integration project who needs some real time examples of how to do the integration. However this book never talk about a single example. I can write this book in 5 hours. Guys don't get cheated .This is the worst book I came across by Mc Graw Hill. If any body interested to buy this book please let me know. I had to fill in the ratings as mandatory.Actual rating which I could gives is 0.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Detail Review: I do a great deal of work with PeopleSoft systems and find their products to be excellent. I found this book to be very helpful to me in my integration tool practice. There is a real wealth of detail in this book that has made it an invaluable resource for me at work. I am very pleased with the content and very highly recommend this book for anyone involved with PeopleSoft products as an integrator or as a business customer. Very high marks for this book!
Rating: Summary: This book gives a 5000 mile high view! Review: I found only simple definitions for all the topics this book goes over. This book is a simple overview of PeopleSoft and products it offers. I found little if any useful information geared for developers. This is at best a manager's intro to PeopleSoft.
Rating: Summary: Not useful Review: I tried to read this book twice. I'm writing an interface to PeopleSoft system. This book does not provide much useful info. It is confusing too. I much prefer PeopleSoft Administrator's Guide by Darrell Bilbrey.
Rating: Summary: Fine Job! Review: Miller's work really shines with this text. Like all of his other books, he has done a great job in putting a great deal of detail and effort into making his books really excellent. He did a fine job, as always!
Rating: Summary: Best PeopleSoft Book YET! Review: My company is deciding between SAP and PeopleSoft and hired me to help them determine which is the best platform. I bought this and Miller's other SAP book. The two resources were extremely helpful to me! This text is really right on target for anyone doing PeopleSoft integration. I am most pleased to have the chance to give this book the highest rating possible. It is really very well done and would be of great help to anyone involved in this subject.
