Summary: READ THIS BOOK!!!!!
Review: As a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Trainer I found this book outstanding!! If you are looking for a high level of understanding of planning, implementing and supporting Exchange 5.5 in a single or multi sited environment, look no further!! This book is easy to understand and the authors' experience gives you the confidence to deliver. I found this book hard to put down, infact I read it within 10 days. The authors demonstrate that they are very experienced in their field and they made a difficult product easy to learn. Well Done!! I look forward to reading their next titles

Summary: The Bible on Exchange
Review: Fire your Exchange Consultants. Save the fees and buy this book.

I wanted web access for our Exchange users. Consultants replied that's it's very complicated due to our network topology, must study w/ care...blah blah, will cost$$$..blah blah..there are consequences if we..blah..blah

I bought this book and followed the 20 pages w/step-by-step screenshots to build the service in 3 hours.

No more blah-blahs.

The authors wrote in a straight forward way that makes everything easy to do. I'll use this tome as my Exchange reference. I have many Exchange books. Most are useless and serve as door stoppers.

This one is a keeper. I wish I had it sooner.

Real hands-on stuff in this Bible. Absolute must-have for all Exchange Admins!!!! This is a BARGAIN!!!

Summary: Great book, still reading and not disappointed.
Review: Great book, still reading and not disappointed. I am an MCSE and about to venture into Exchange Adminstration. This book is opening my mind to all that exchange is and could do. Clear, concise and straight to the point with lots of illustrations that bring the concepts to life.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Exchange migration, maintenance, or what ever, its all here!
Review: I am a MCSE but new to Exchange and this book was a god send. Jason Vanvalkenburgh does an excellent job walking you through the behemoth that Exchange can be. Well done Jason, et al. Sams is clearly one of the best technical publication houses in the indistry. I have many Sams titles and I am NEVER disappointed.

Summary: Exchange Server 5.5 for Dummies???
Review: I found the coverage in this book of Exchange and in particular coverage of using Internet Mail Service (IMS) to connect your site to internet mail to be very clear and complete. This is my second book on exchange 5.5, and it clarified many aspects of this HUGE software package and made a difficult subject approachable and pleasant to read. I manged to successfully set up an exchange system for our (small) company with dial up internet connectivity in a short time with no prior exchange experience - consequently THUMBS UP for the Authors !!

Summary: My guess would be: Bad.
Review: I found this book to be; Badly organized but not catastrophically, Total lack of in depth knowledge and know-how, almost totally worthless as a compendium, several hundred pages wasted on empty chatter and irrelevant fact on history and the world situation (some people might find these pages interesting, but I don't) and not at all measuring up to my hopes. Almost everything i know, i got from "playing" with Exchange in a sealed environment, and this book have been totally worthless to me.

Summary: And the winner is.....
Review: I put it on my bedside table and cringed every time I looked at it... 'I have to read THIS! ' I continued to ignore the huge tome for a few days, but it was there staring at me every time I reached to switch my alarm to snooze. I had no option, I resolved to begin my 900 page quest later that day.

If there was an 'Exchange Oscar' ceremony then Anthony Steven would win Best Supporting Mail. He managed to make a very dry subject into an entertaining and informative read. This book is not for someone who *just* wants to pass the MCSE elective exam; this is a book designed to help people who are actually designing/implementing/running Exchange in the real world. Buy it!
