Review: An excellent book covering all aspects of the IP protocol. Covers networking concepts and works its way through the OSI layers up to applications running over IP. Includes packet structures of headers and application protocols and outlines the RFC's associtated with each portion of the protocol discussed. This book is a great reference for learning basic to advanced operation of IP and how the various protocols are constructed yet contains enough detail to allow network programmers to write applications that use these protocols. Highly recommended.
