Upgrading to Fortran 90

Summary: Excellent, exceptionally well suited for self-study
Review: I have looked at many books on f90. This one excels by -being exceptionally clearly written in a colloquial style that explains the ideas behind the new concepts and is fun reading -explains simple things first and progresses to the more complex issues one at a time -contains only complete code examples that are transparent, easy to grasp, to the point, and illustrative -with this book, the transition from f77 to f90 is painless and very quick -everyone in our group enjoyed the book
weaknesses: -new intrinsic functions are not discussed in detail -few examples for character and I/O handling; probably best suited for people with science background/interest such as myself
