Rating: Summary: How come a book published late August has 34 reviews? Review: I request Amazon to not publish the reviews for an older edition for a newer one which may be substantially different. Thanks!

Rating: Summary: Good Reference Book, Easy to Read & Follow Review: I thought the book was easy to follow, the author got his point across in a non-circumlocution way, very informative and clearly written. I recommend it to anyone who wants to build a system from scratch, or just to have as a good reference book.

Rating: Summary: Top notch book Review: This is one of the most informatitive books around, with details that go much deeper than usual. It is a pleasure to read becuase of the wittiness meshed in with the knowledge of the subject that the author has. It also contains every conceivable aspect of the computer and then some. Even the CD Roms are good. A must read!
Rating: Summary: What Can I say - He has done well with this work Review: Scott Mueller has done some very difficult thing here. He has written a book that is concise, well-written, without fluff, hype, agents, cheesy/corny writing, and excessive typographical errors. He creates a reference that is large and well worth the per-page price. he could easily charge 100 bucks for this book (which many people who simply desire to get rich do) with half of the information but decides to make an affordable book with 1500+ pages of good solid material (Especially after the Amazon discount). He has set a standard that is impeccable for this type of book. Yes you can create a book that serves as a good primer in certain areas (without being corny and/or downright gay); a good set of intermediary and advanced words in others; topped off with an excellent reference chock full of tables, charts, and graphs that are great for dog-earing. When he updates his book, he does so only because the technology changed and not because his readers edit his work (aka eXAM cRAMS) I am glad this book has done well despite not having a "name" on it. BTW: It also has a decent CD on it.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book! Review: All I can say is wow. I have been a computer buff/tech for almost 10 years. This is the best and most complete book I have ever on PC hardware. Even if you think you know it all you'll probably learn a thing or two from this text. A must have text that is great for learning or reference..
