Summary: Another good reference book
Review: I'm in the minority here.

It has alot of good information between the covers, but it was written in a way that made it difficult to follow.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must have for anyone who wants info on computers.
Review: I have falsely said that i read this book--I read the previous edition, #8, and I can still recommend the latest #10 to anyone who wants info about PC's. There is no better book available. Believe me--I hold a degree in Computer Science and have never seen better. Any book with this title and these authors (and publisher) is a must have!!! Thanks Amazon--I just bought one from you!!!

Summary: Excellent for ANYONE
Review: I knew NOTHING about hardware before I got this book. I'm into programming alot, so one of my friends asked me to put some comp he bought from parts together. Somehow this book showed me EXACTLY what to do. And I know there's alot of stuff here for the 'expert' too as I only read a small amount of it. All the experts say this is a great book, and now I see why.

Summary: This is THE book on Computer Repair
Review: This book will teach you everything you'll need to know to get some more handling on the ever elusive world of PC repairs and upgrades. I have done a few upgrades, which in my opinion is harder than building your own machine, because of all of the conflicts you could potentially encounter. But with this book by your side, it makes it as easy as installing a program. Fine detail is paid on everything. Right down to what each pin on a memory chip does! Incredible book. I don't think it can be any better (until he updates it).

Summary: If you have the time, it has all the answers!!!!!
Review: My God!!!! This is the perfect book for upgrading and repairing PCs. I am only 16 and still it has provided a wealth of information that i could not have gotten anywhere else. The best part is that if you don't understand what you are reading then you can watch Scott Mueller do the repairs himself with the videos included on the 2 CD-ROMS. BOTTOM LINE: If you enjoy "Messing Around" with computers this book will become your Bible!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: What A Book!!
Review: Definitely a must have for all serious computer Afficionados and Techies. Scott Mueller has done it once again.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: BUY THIS BOOK NOW!!
Review: This is definitly the best computer hardware book I ever read, if you are a professional or someone looking to expand your knowledge this is the book to get! The only problem I have is that it's HEAVY!

Summary: Truly the bible reference for all computer related questions
Review: The latest 10th edition covers every imaginable topic related to PCs. It's outstanding feature is that it discusses its' topics in simple understandable terms and at a depth that is selectable by the user. If you just want a taste of the subject, just read as far as you wish. If you want a brain dump, and want to get totally drowned, you can have that also. The graphics, tables and sidebar comments are superb. Another of its strong features is that it covers the entire historical range of info dating back before the PC/XT to the items still in development by the manufacturers. So if you're into repairing obsolete computers, you'll have all the support you need. If you're planning a computer purchase in 6 months, you'll have the guidelines you need. It's a must library shelf reference for anyone with more than a passing interest in PCs. As the 10th edition is hardbound, it will be able to withstand the usage it will certainly receive. It's timeless.

Summary: An excellent addition to any geeks library!
Review: I will have to say that Scott Mueller did a great job on this Tenth Anniversary Edition! I managed to read it in a week, and am on the second go around now. A great book for newbies (the 2nd CD), and advanced geeks alike. Well worth the money! I will be purchasing Scott's "PC Hardware Library" soon! Looking forward to it!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best book I have found for the advanced tech.
Review: This book is for you if you are tired of the other books that are only for newbies and part timers. It helps fill in a lot of gaps for anyone studying for the A+ exam.
