Summary: Good intro book to iMac
Review: As a computer teacher, I like this book because it is a well-written and easy to understand reference book on the newest Mac. I would have liked to have seen more step by step illustrations and less babble. The next version will hopefully read less like a college textbook and more like a how-to.

Summary: I have found it to be more than just informative!
Review: Being new to computers and to the internet, this book has on more than one occasion saved my bacon. I live in a small community with only 1 person with any appreciable knowledge of Macintosh systems, and when I have run into problems late in the evening, I have been able to study her book, and have been able to sort things out. Without this book, I don't think I would be able to enjoy this iMac as much as I do. Thank you Robin Williams!

Summary: If you only buy ond Mac how-to book, buy this one.
Review: Having never owned a computer before, I bought every book I could find about iMacs and Macs in general. What a waste of money! Robin Williams' book is the only one I or anyone needs! It not only is comprehensive, but is easy to understand and to use. I particularly enjoy the way she uses real- world analogies to explain what a hard disk is or what memory is. I really believe that Apple should endorse this as the "Official Apple Handbook," enclose it with every iMac they sell and give everybody a big break, after all, Jeff Goldblum's charisma and Steve Jobs' Nehru jacket only take you so far. Buy this book before any of the others pretending to teach you iMac or Mac. PS: I got a strawberry.

Summary: As Windows/PC User, Learned a Mac with this in 2 Saturdays
Review: I had to learn how to run a Mac in order to take my Photoshop course. As a PC/Windows user for years, I wasn't looking forward to it. The class ran for only 2 Saturdays but with reading this book inbetween the 2 sessions, I was running the Mac like a champ on the 2nd Saturday and have been using it to create art work in my Photoshop course ever since. This compact book is a real gem and it is rightfully being used with students in beginning Mac courses. You can't miss with buying this baby!

Summary: A must for new and veteran Mac users
Review: I have bought three editions of The Little Mac Book over the years, and I learn something new every time I pick it up. It's a great gift idea for a new Mac user, as well as long-time owners. We Mac people are very loyal, and Robin Williams is certainly a very favorite of mine! It's almost like talking to a old friend.

Summary: Get this Book!
Review: I teach Macintosh based design courses, and this is (and has been for the past five years) the standard textbook for my classes. It offers Mac beginners the definitions for all of the "geek speak" terms in language that everyone can understand. It explains how the computer works and offers easy to read text and pictures. Even for advanced users, you will be surprised to dicover the true meaning of the icons and acronyms you have been using all of these years.
