Review: This book really helped me to discover the proper and efficient use of Stored Procedures. You will be impressed to know what you can do with Stored Procedures. This book covers every aspect of dealing with Stored Procedures and really is a must have for any SQL Programmer.

Summary: Hard copy of online documentation
Review: Though this book helped me breeze through a project
and enabled me to write stored procedures even with
minimal SQL experience, I noticed that the information in
this book can be found online. If you can manage to look
at the monitor for hours at a time then don't buy this book,
you can readily get the information online.

Summary: Can't Download Most of the Code
Review: While coverage of MS-SQL Server stored procedures in this book is adequate, the back cover promises, "All the code and examples in the book can be downloaded from the companion Web site."A visit to the publisher's site will allow the reader to download the code from just two of the 16 chapters. Two weeks after this omission was pointed out there has been no response from the publisher.
