Rating: Summary: Not for beginners in Photoshop Review: The section on "Things you need to know" (in Photoshop) is well written, excellent. I found the "Hands On Sessions" difficult, sometimes impossible, to follow. Now that I have vented my frustrations, I would like to say that I feel that the authors have put out a lot of valuable information, accessable to advanced students.
Rating: Summary: A great book for digital phototgraphers Review: There are plenty of books that 'teach' Photoshop but this one successfully teaches from the point of view of the photographer wishing to manipulate images digitally. Covers retouching, color correction and more. Doesn't just teach the tools, but also how to apply them effectively. The book is somewhat advanced, providing depth beyond what you might expect from a general Photoshop text.

Rating: Summary: Great! Review: This book clearly explains things that I have been looking for, such as how to set my preferences. I'm just digging into it, and eventhough I have prior experience (in school and on my own) this book is teaching me a great deal.
Rating: Summary: Speed up production and develop your eye Review: This book includes information the other greats forget...like how to create actions. The beauty and eye appeal this book has is not just skin deep, but the wealth of information you are given is well worth the price of the book. In fact, for all the time spent using this book as a personal teaching tool for Photoshop 5.5, money is saved in production time from the lessons learned and time and dollars spent going away to seminars or classes is eliminated. Do yourself a favor and buy this book. You'll be grateful you did, and so will your boss and your customers!
Rating: Summary: Great for the Photoshop Pro Review: This book includes some great Photoshop techniques. I would recommend this only to the serious PS user. The instruction is wordy and often confusing. Many times following the steps recommended will not produce the results illustrated. However, the struggle is well worth it for those searching for professional results.

Rating: Summary: Astonishing Review: This book is an astonishing compendium of Photoshop techniques, well designed and very well illustrated.
Rating: Summary: To complicated!!!!!! Review: This book is much to technical, it delves to much into the more complicated aspects of Photoshop rather then simply stating what it is that has to be done, in the various tutorial, a complete waste of $44.00, got nothing out of it, also the print is much to small, using a magnifying glass just to read . For the real die-hard Photoshop user this info could be germaine, but the average graphics designer, time is of the essence. Get simpler!!!
