Summary: A perfect example of a low quality work
Review: This book is a perfect example of a low quality Oracle Press work. Errors are prevailing -- starting from the Chapter PL/SQL Basics. Many paragraphs look similiar to those in the Oracle PL/SQL User's Guide and Reference, with wording slightly modified -- very often producing errors and confusions.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The Most Complete PL/SQL Source I've Found
Review: This book is outstanding. It comes with several PL/SQL examples to illustrate each of the concepts presented - and is an indispensable tool for me at work. I can honestly say this book has helped my career as an Oracle consultant, by keeping my skills on the cutting edge.

Summary: Good source of PL/SQL info, but too many errors
Review: This is a good book on Oracle8 PL/SQL. The book has two weak sides though: firstly, a lot of errors, and secondly, poor description of Oracle8 related features. The book is written around older version of PL/SQL with new features added in a hurry.

Summary: Great general knowledge PL/SQL book
Review: This is a great book for either learning PL/SQL or as a reference. I went through a little better than half of the book word for word before I gave up. But I still use this book as a reference whenever I need to program in PL/SQL. I would suggest this book to anyone who either wants to learn PL/SQL or just needs to check something really quickly. If you use PL/SQL on a regular to semi-regular basis, then this is a must have.

Summary: Awesome Book
Review: This is an awesome book. A year and a half ago, I was thrown into a situation where I had to do reporting, data mining and EDI feeds for a MASSIVE UGLY system containing 1400 tables some with over 5 million rows. I didn't have ANY Oracle experience (Just Access *HA!* and SQL Server *Double HA!*) I cranked out this book in 3 days and after a week or so of practice, I was the master.
