Summary: Great!
Review: Apple Confidential is a great, informative, fun to read book. If you want an Apple Computer book, then this is the one to choose. A great book for anyone. Good job, Mr. Linzmayer

Summary: A good read missing a few things
Review: This was a good read and undoubtedly captures a lot of what happened at Apple. Sometimes the detail is a bit numbing like the 11 pages of Apple Product code names. A few things were missing. I was surprised to not see any mention of the attempt by Apple to buy up a lot of DRAM chips in the expectations that prices would go up. Also, I remember a computer faire in San Francisco where Wozniak predicted that the Mac would really be great (but I've tried to find someone else who remembers that and I have failed thus far. Still, this book was hard to put down.

Summary: A fun, informative book on the unusual history of Apple
Review: Although the author does heap plenty of praise upon himself, if you get through that you'll find a very fun, informative book on Apple. It covers the great successes and huge failures of one of America's most interesting companies. The little anecdotes in the margins add a personal touch that's lacking from most business books.

Summary: easy to understand, comprehensive history of Apple computers

Summary: A Must Buy for True Apple Lover's!
Review: Wow! This book was really an interesting inside view on Apple Computer. I believe that this book would not just interest Apple lovers, but buisness and general technology buffs as well. I always considered myself a person who was knowledgable about Apple Computer, but after reading this book I found out a world of trivia, facts, and insider information that I would have never known without reading this great book that looks at one of the world's most innovative, complex, and interesting companies.

Summary: A pleasure to read and re-read, again and again.
Review: I have read some of the reviews of this book. I used the "Mac Bathroom Reader", as well as the Levy book "Insanely Great" during my quest to be CEO of Apple. Both were helpful in outlining the people that I would potentially be dealing with. Steve especially.

When working with people, it is nice to know all the angles. I believe Owen covers them well.

Apple is a story unto itself. Constantly evolving, never staying still. It requires addressing in the fashion that Owen uses. One that skips around, never stays in one place, yet covers all facets. Nice job. A true pleasure to read.

Michael Murdock, former Apple CEO candidate

Summary: The Mac Bathroom Reader and SO MUCH MORE!
Review: The Mac Bathroom Reader and SO MUCH MORE! I bought The Mac Bathroom Reader years ago and couldn't wait to read Apple Confidential once I found out about it. I'm glad I did. It's got tons of updates, a great new layout, and all sorts of completely new chapters. I don't know about anyone else, but I think if you liked The Mac Bathroom Reader, you'll love Apple Confidential. Well worth the cover price!

Summary: re-read of The Mac Bathroom Reader
Review: Ever felt like you've read something before? If you already have The Mac Bathroom Reader, save your money, it's the same book with a new cover.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A less depressing approach to the Apple story. WONDERFUL
Review: Apple Confidential takes a unique perspective of the apple story. While I agree with the fact that the author sometimes repeats himself, the well researched facts and interesting trivia more than make up for those few mistakes. Mr. Linzmayer, amazingly enough, is able to dig under the huge pile of myths surrounding the mac and apple and tell the story, as it was written. The author is particularly good at pointing out credit where it is due, a shortcoming in other Apple books. This is one not to miss
