Barry Cornelius's work is a refreshing break from both venues, but not without meeting the needs of both the "Hands On" how-do-you do it practioners as well as the "help-me-understand-the-concept" theorists.

If for no other reason than to hear Barry's very powerful ideas on the role of interfaces in Java software development, it is worth purchasing and reading the book. I promise you you won't regret it.
