Review: I found the "insiders guide to it certification" to be helpful and thorough in its coverage of certification. It is great to see emphasis placed on goals, and reasons for certification. Overall I have found this to be a great book with good coverage of all the various options for certification. It was in depth and mentioned many resources which I was not previously aware of.

Review: I have worked in IT for many years and much of my free time is spent studying. When I saw this book, I had been trying to figure out how to fine-tune what I wanted my IT specialty to be. Recognizing the authors, I became instantly excited. Without hesitation I purchased the book and, as always, I couldn't be happier!Certifications are great but do you know why you are going after them? Another thing to think about is how you are preparing for the exams. Are you doing it in ways that get through the test but not through a job interview? This book will hit these and lots of other great areas that you may have never thought of. Regardless of your past IT certification experience, good or bad, this book will help you a lot. The small price for this book doesn't even begin to compare to the benefits. Buy it today and your life and study time will change for the better!

Review: This book is worth it's wait in gold. Getting MCSE/MCP/MCSD etc. qualified not only helps your career, but instills disiplines into your daily tasks to help you do a better job. I heartly recommend this book to gain a better understanding of IT Certification

Summary: A good collection of tips and advice.
Review: This book was quite helpful as it had some good ideas about certification that I didn't know about as I did not have any experience taking exams other than at school. The advice inside useful in choosing the direction I took with my exams. After reading the book I decided not to take an expensive course but to shop around for study guides and learn doing labs on my computers at home. So the book helped me save money by not having to pay out for courses and also had good tips on how to obtain evaluation software from the companies that make it. There is some other advice about choosing which certification to pursue that might be helpful to some people who know that they want to go into IT but aren't sure where they want to go. Although the book talks a lot about Microsoft and Cisco certifications it is a study guide in the sense of "this is how you should study" rather than "this is what you should study". Many other guides spend lots of time on exam content, but no time on exam techniques - and this book seems to be unusual in that respect. A lot of the advice seems obvious once you've read it, but until you have read it you probably didn't think of it.
