Summary: An absolute cracker of a book.
Review: I can't put it down. If you look at what's available on Networking, then this book stands out due to its lucidity and the fact that it puts you in the driver's seat as far as knowing what there is to know about Networks. My friends watch out! Now I know my networking!

As for the Networking Essentials Exam, it is a perfect starter. It takes the fear out of approaching this exam completely because I've compared it to a multitude of Networking Essentials Exam books and this book provides that solid foundation for when you walk into the exam. It gives you confidence.

This is because it doesn't just teach you all about Networking as a teacher would, it tells you the story behind the maze of things you have to know about in this field. It's like a personal trainer walking you through the networking minefield and explaining things to you as you go along. It's worth 10 times the price. Nay 20.

She certainly has achieved her objective of "stepping up" the reader from one level to another in their knowledge of Networking. My only criticism is; why didn't anyone tell me about this book before?

Summary: Superb Book!
Review: I have been looking for quite sometime for an introductory book on networking that clearly explain all the concepts. I am one of those accounting/finance professionals who switched over to Information Technology. After trying several books, I was about to give up when I stumbled across the only copy of this book in a bookstore. This book is just fantastic! Joanne really knows how to explain networking concepts to professionals from other fields. Her style of writing makes it difficult for you to put the book down. Congratulations on a superb book. I really do understand networking essentials now.
