Summary: excellent book on agent-based software development
Review: This book was really useful in giving me a solid understanding on where agent-based software development really stands. It clearly explains what agents are, where they are useful and what kinds of architectures are used to build them. It presents and, more importantly, *compares* some *real* toolkits that can actually be used to develop agent systems, something that I have not seen in any other book. The methodology chapter tied the toolkits and architecture chapters together by showing how you can start to design a real system, while the standards and technology chapters nicely complemented the rest of the information in the book and provided good pointers to follow up. Finally, the resources chapters places you right in the middle of what is going on in the agent world. I recommend the book to anyone that wants to get a head start in agent development. Get cracking...
