Summary: great book, but no downloads for computer codes
Review: this is a good book to get one started with C language. The explanations are clear and concise.

The downside is that there is no download for computer codes used for examples, so one has to type in all the listings.

Summary: Excellent Beginners Book
Review: This is an excellent Beginners book for the C language. The examples are very clear and very well explained. Although is does leave you begging for more... And for those griping about the compiler I would suggest looking at any commercial compiler, I bet you find it to be Primarily A C++ compiler. A highly recommend this book to anyone Truly starting out in C.

Summary: All I can say is that it sucks
Review: Ya heard me! If The C Programming Language is too terse for you, then just go with C for Dummies. Reasons it sucks - 1. The Author's writing style is horrible. I hate it. 2. There really is no point in his examples, they do the same thing you could do with just a printf() function(Ex. To demonstrate the use of a variable, he prints something that could be printed by using the printf() command) 3. There are plenty of other books. Go with The C Programming Language if you have past programming expierence. If you don't, then go with C for Dummies.
