Summary: ...THERE ARE BETTER C BOOKS
Review: I actually had the author of this book as a professor some time ago. The thing about college is, professors don't have to have a degree in teaching, and thus many of them, although good in their field, are not good teachers. This man cannot teach, and his lack of teaching skills are reflected in this book. We were forced to buy this awful book at my university, and forced to read from it. Even my professor who taught C said at the beginning of the class that he hated this book and wished we used a real one. I later found out that all the other professors felt the same. Truth be told, I'm a computer book junkie. I've got hundreds of books all around me, but this one I DO NOT have right now, because when the semester was over, I actually threw this book away. I could have returned it to the book store and gotton a little bit of money back, but when I thought that some poor sap might be deluded into thinking that this would be a good book for the beginner, I decided to destroy it instead.

I have a feeling that this book didn't do so well, so in order to make money off of it, he pulled some strings at my university to get them to use his book instead of a real one. So we all had to pay an incredibly inflated price for a real piece of crap.

... There are plenty of other books here on Amazon that are very good, like Learning C in 21 Days, and if you really want to learn the language, try The C Programming Language by Kernighan, one of the guys who wrote C!

Summary: ...THERE ARE BETTER C BOOKS
Review: This book employs the proper method for tteaching a programmin language. First it goes over what the code means then it implenments the code in small sections showing proper form and variations.

This method is executed well and goes far more into teaching the C language then a C quickstart guide available at your local megabookstore which starts you codingithout properly expalining what the heck your doing. Not a good way to learn
