Summary: Star Ocean: Second Story - The Official Strategy Guide
Review: I used to own the game and this guide. You'll have to severely nit-pick this guide to find anything missing/incorrect. The only mistake I found was that a sword that Claude can make was omitted. I'll let you try and see if you can find out which one. You'll find better swords though, so don't worry about it. Completionists will still get it easy enough.

With all the things you can do in Star Ocean 2, I thought this guide would be full of holes. It wasn't. Prima did a job on this guide that far surpasses any work they have done before and since this game's release. I doubt that they or their competitors will ever surpass this kind of thurough research and quality.

Summary: I think it really helps out in the long-run
Review: I've always thought, you know what instead of looking and searching all day and night to do something in this game, it really helps when you have a sorce to relay on when you need it.

Summary: Star Ocean: The Second Story Stragegy book
Review: My Husband is playing it, so Im I when he gets done I cant find a book on It so I thought I would give this a try, but it is a good game. I like the background, I just like stragegy games I need to see if I can find the book on Luner too.

Summary: A must-have if you want to uncover the secrets in Star Ocean
Review: Not only is this game the best role-playing game for the PlayStation this year, it has an awesome strategy guide from Prima. If you want tips on item creation and side-quests, this is the book to have. The only problems with the strategy guide is that there is no map for the bonus dungeon and the boss tips could be more thorough. However, the great price from amazon.com makes it worth the measly 12 bucks you dish out for it!

Summary: Exceptional guide
Review: Prima unleashed probably one of the most voyeristic walkthroughs out there. Very little is held back, letting you in on almost every item, Public Action, town, major secret, boss stat, relationship factor and the most imporant one: how to pickpocket.

Okay, I'm joking on that last one, but to be honest, this is one of the best ones I've seen despite a few not-so-obvious spelling errors and a few (minor) mistaken facts. But other than that it is jam-packed and a worthy addition to your gaming needs. Too bad that the quality is only hindered by the flimsy material they used to make it, which really holds it back from a perfect score.

Prima, this is how every guide of yours should be.

Summary: The quest and journey of a life time is about to begin.
Review: Star Ocean: the second story After attaining the rank of Ensign in the EF (earth federation) Claude C. Kenni, one of the main characters lands on a planet named Milocina. Claude and his father Ronixis J. Kenni search the planet for a strange energy reading. They arrive at a dome shaped biulding in side a wierd object transports Claude to a distant planet called Expel. the quest starts there were you find the second main character. Rena Lanford who lives in Arlia (a primitive village on the island Cross). The game controls are a 8/10 and eazy to learn the graphics are a cool 9/10 and the sound is an awesome 9/10 like most RPGs you can name the characters any name you want. I would say to buy the game and order the strategy guide from Amazon. have a fun time!

Summary: Great guide!
Review: There is so much information in the walkthrough section that you'll find yourself reading every word, the flip side to this is that sometimes all that information is disorganized and the maps are scattered. I did love that it listed all the shops and what they sell, straight in the walkthrough, though.
The lists at the back are amazing and descriptive. The sometimes-confusing Skill/Specialty system is explained easy and has a list of all the skills and what you can make with them.
It has every item in the game listed, along with weapons, armor, etc. and where to get them.
It also has all your sidequests, private actions, etc.
Definately worth your money!

Summary: All strategy guide authors should use this as a model...
Review: This book is an absolute perfect example of THE ideal strategy guide. You get more than what you pay for with this one--virtually everything to be found in the game is explored in fine detail within these many pages. I say many because this is the absolute thickest guide I've ever seen written on one console game. No filler in between the pages either--this thing is PACKED with info and superbly clear, full-color screenshots to help you out in any situation. The maps were organized very well, as were the numerous tables with equipment, enemy, and skill stats. When you take a look at this guide, one wonders why the majority of strategy guides (from all publishers) are not nearly as complete as this one. This is money well worth spent for anyone who owns the excellent PlayStation game.

Summary: First timer? Then this is for you.
Review: Well, things have been goin' on, and some people will easily get tired in playing LONG RPG games, but hey, Star Ocean is good and this guide made it even better! The book itself is already a treasurehouse of info, and after reading and going to things you haven't got into before, you'll be wanting to go back and start a new game, a better one that is.

Nicely written, and it tells you what you're supposed to do in order to get this, etc. Never fails. You'll always get what you want.

Accurate, reliable and entertaining even if read as a book alone. When you're not playing, reading those mini-portions of the book (like the Private Actions part) will always intrigue you, and the next time you turn on to play again, you'll be wanting to try it out, even if it's going to cost you some time.

The only thing is that the plots are given away. But heck, everyone knows as well as I do that strategy guides give plots away, so why should it bother anyway?

Overall, this is a great guide. Final words to describe it: useful, entertaining, reliable, accurate and attractive. This is the book for you! BUY IT!
