Review: This is a great book. Not only is it a good source to learn from, it's also a good referense when you need to go back and look things up. It has a lot of detailed information to complete difficult tasks. The book displays its contents in an easy to access format which makes it easy to learn from and use. I very good book for those who want to do amazing things with Photoshop. All I can say is... WOW!

Summary: Wow is the Only One
Review: This is a unique PS6 book. I taught myself Photoshop and use it as a hobby. This is one of the few color PS6 books that will give you all the basics while also giving you creative ideas. If you learn a little about the basic tools by taking the online course at About.com's graphics site, you will get so much out of this book. I keep trying to find another like it and can't.

Summary: Lots of fun
Review: This is a virtual candy store for a Photoshop enthusiast, and one of my two favorite Photoshop books. The effects are fun and occassionally challenging. If you work through a decent portion of this book you will learn the program. Since most of the examples will work just fine in Photoshop 7, I probably will skip the next edition unless it has a lot of new material. If you know the basics of Photoshop and want to go to the next level this is a good place to start.

Review: This is theeeeeeee most AWSOME BOOK I have ever owned!!!!!!!!! I LOVE this book!!!!!! It has so much information and extras in it. I truly have learned so much from this book that it brings me to tears!!!!!!! If you do not buy this book then you are a fool because this is the most awsome book for Photoshop 6 that I have and I have all of them. There are good books out there but if you want to learn how to do real creative and different things this is the book for you. AGAIN, I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Unsuitable for a beginner
Review: This might be a good book if you are already a Photoshop expert, but I bought it hoping to learn how to use Photoshop. I was extremely disappointed. The instructions for accomplishing tasks are bareboned at best and filled with terminology that is never explained. Basically it is just a book where the work of photoshop artists is displayed and explained in an incomprehensible way. So as not to have totally wasted my money, I plan on going back to the book after I actually find another method of learning the program. I might be able to glean some useful information out of the book at that point.
