Summary: A BOOK THAT IS WORTH THE MONEY!
Review: This book has to be on of the best books that I have used or owned for learning and using C++. The examples are plentiful and offer tremendious help. The writers realize that good examples are essential to learning and using C++. I have owned this book for a few weeks and it has become my favorite reference. Those of use that are learning and currently trying to tame the C++ beast will love the great examples that really relate to situations and problems we will encounter in real life. Being a student that uses Visual C++ and Borland C++ I will give this book 10 stars and will take my example to school for my department and show them what a real textbook should look like!

Summary: Misleading Title
Review: This is a fine C++ book for the beginning programmer. The title is misleading - this book has no more to do with technology than the hundreds of other beginner C++ books. As an engineer I expected, based on the title, some examples involving numerical methods, COM port programming, or at least something on dynamic link libraries. The sample programs are the same tired and uninteresting programs you'll find in most C++ books. I suspect the authors/publisher added "...for Technology" to the title to justify the inflated price. If you have the disposable cash, get the book. Otherwise, there are better and cheaper.
