Summary: Don't Bother Buying
Review: I was hoping to get into daytrading when i saw this book. I bought it, and felt that my money and time had been utterly wasted. It mostly was an encyclopedia about how the whole daytrading thing started, but it doesn't actually tell you how to get started. If you want to learn, don't buy it.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Waste of Time and Money!
Review: Do not waste your time buying this book as most of the information contained is both confusing and misleading. If you want to learn about day trading, this is not your book. However, if you want to waste $20, go ahead and buy it.

The authors attempt to explain day trading procedures and the electronic environment. However, they do a poor job at best. I am a day trader and I think the "tips" they do offer, combined from other people, are misleading. In sum, I think this book was only made for one purpose - to make money on the people who have no idea about day trading. Unfortunately, they do a poor job of it. Don't buy this book - but, if you're still curious, check it out at the library and save yourself some money. There is no way you want to keep this book because the stuff contained is already out-of-date and not worthwhile.

Summary: Alright, but I prefer ...
Review: This book is quite comprehensive but Trading Online (FT Pitman 1999) is more recent, and covers even more material and is more helpful. That being the case this one's okay but I prefer Trading Online

Summary: Yes but
Review: A lot of information here, but if you are planning to use the internet to really get more bang for your buck and find the best deal around then you also need a book like Trading Online (FT Pitman) by Patel.

Summary: Not very readable, doesn't tell you how to actually do it.
Review: This book has a lot of good and informative details. However, it is unfortunately not very readable nor properly organized. Information is scattered here and there without a logical sequence. Also, it doesn't give you a proper introduction of how to start day trading.

If you are a stock trading veteran, you will probably benefit from this book. Otherwise, you're better off looking for a better one.

In all cases, I don't think this is a best seller by any account!.

Summary: Much to deep for avarage clueless day traders
Review: Although very inlightening the book fails to meet the needs of the average daytrader who is in and out of the market in a matter of minunets. Granted this is not the approch one should take , it sertainly refelects what many traders are presently doing in the market. Therefore I feel the book missed its intended forum to enlighten and educate.

Summary: Very good detailed account of the mechanics of day trading
Review: With over fifteen years of investing experience, I have (as many others have) become intrigued with the prospect of day trading. I have been collecting articles and information about it in hopes of a possible second career (my day job is as an administrative manager for a non-profit organization). I have read only about 1/3 of the book and found it a little onerous, but very informative - bottom line is that I was discouraged from seriously considering going into day trading. This is where the book is valuable - in terms of depicting the hard realities and eliminating the overglorification. It certainly hit home as to what the average neophyte is up against - it "ain't pretty." A conclusion of my extensive research into this field is that the survivors of this business lose a tremendous amount of money until they catch the hang of it. Even afterward, it is not an easy "row to hoe." Unless you have a very strong stomach and nerves of steel, keep your day job! A very good book though - it definitely helped me with much of the information I needed to make my decision. A must-read for anyone seriously considering day trading.

Summary: Extremely concise, information packed, and comprehensive
Review: ~This is definatley not a book for the "flighty-of-mind". This book has a lot to say, and does so in very little space considering te topic. This incredibly well written book does a fantastic job explaining the in's and out's of day trading, and the r definate "must-have" for anyone who is day trading, or wants to learn about day trading.

Summary: Another "How-to"
Review: The non-fiction books of the New York Times Best Selling List contains a majority of layman "how to" books. This one promises you can do the same kind of trades the big investors do and reap the same reward. If you believe it's all that simple, then this book is for you. If you don't, you'll save a lot of time, money, and anxiety.
