Summary: For those already day trading, not for newbies.
Review: This book is a great book for those already trading, wanting to know more and experience how others are succeeding. It will not provide you with what you need to know in order to start electronic trading. Must have some exposure of day trading before reading this book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: FIND OUT IF YOU ARE A GUNSLINGER
Review: Electronic day trading is for the quick and the accurate. If you think you have the right stuff, try the exciting way to make money using the great information in this excellent book. You will need to get constantly better to make the most money, like the gunslinger who practiced all the time his quick draw and aim. A good guide for you is the 8-step process in THE 2,000 PERCENT SOLUTION, which shows how to achieve world-class performance quickly in any money-making activity. It may help your other money-making tasks, as well.

Summary: DON'T LET "STALLS" KEEP YOU FROM DAY TRADING
Review: Even if you are not sure you want to enter the frenetic world of electronic day trading, you should read this book to know where the technology is and how some people spend their time. Electronic day trading will become bigger as the technology improves and more people gain experience and confidence. However, it is definately for the Leo Lions of this world. Shrinking Violets, male or female, should stay away. It takes determination, attention, quick decisions and the ability to live with losses. Should you decide to trade, read THE ELECTRONIC DAY TRADER. The explanation of market operations and being "on-the-floor" are good and the trading strategies are helpful. To play this game well also requires the right attitude. Put aside that old Tradition Stall of "I should consult my broker first". Put aside the Disbelief Stall of "I'll probably lose on each trade". Put aside the Misconceptions Stall of "I'm probably trading at a disadvantage to the big guys". Start small and develop your strategies, measure how you do and find your ideal best practices. To read more about "stalls" and developing ideal best practices, I also recommend THE 2,000 PERCENT SOLUTION, by Mitchell, Coles and Metz

Summary: Daytrading Not for Everyone
Review: I am a professional futures trader and I can tell you that daytrading is not for everyone. Aptitude for trading is innate; success only comes with natural ability, dogged research, and heavy sweat. A person's psychological makeup determines whether or not he/she is suitable for a particular job. Even among traders there are different subgroups. A value-minded pseudo- Warren Buffet investor would be foolish to even attempt a short-term momentum play in daytrading. A talented daytrader would go stir crazy watching his money sit in Deere or DuPont, fully knowing he could make good money in these oversold stocks if only he had the psychological makeup to buy and hold. And for those of you who quibble about $20 for a book, you have absolutely no business investing in the stock market. If you're a serious trader you should have a whole library of trading books, realizing that if your smart and talented its the little tidbits of information you absorbed "somewhere," in some trading book, that ultimately got you a better fill or a more advantageous exit. Believe me its the little decisions that can mean hundreds or thousands of dollars in trading, and ultimately the difference between success and failure. This book is for the serious trader not the casual investor.

Summary: FOLLOW UP BOOK AVAILABLE THIS WEEK
Review: available this week right here on this site: ELECTRONIC DAY TRADERS' SECRETS, by Friedfertig and West. Our new book contains interviews with a dozen top traders who have used the methods described in Electronic Day Trader to make consistent money, and new insight from us, the authors. Those intervied have made fortunes applying the methods described in EDT. And, best of all if you choose too, it is possible to trade side by side with the experts interviewed in the new book.

Summary: the turtle and the hare
Review: well, i tell ya. i have been investing for the last ten years, and while i might seem like a piker to some, i will put my two cents in. anyone with knowledge of the markets and how they work is kidding themselves if they think anyone can read this book and make money day trading. i have been through several volitile times in the market, and have never needed to worry. my return? 17% after taxes, commisions and the like. yea, that isn't a million dollars in five years, but i sleep at night, and have learned that after several years, the money compounds quite nicely. a good book to check out is "stocks for the long run" by jeremey seigal. no fluff or new schemes; just a good common-sense approach to the market and its statistical history. y'all have a good one.

Summary: very informative
Review: confusing at first, chapter 5 sums up the whole book. "think like a marketmaker, make $$$"! i plan to put the authors techniques to work as i now daytrade online (datek go-figure)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: invaluable
Review: I've been investing online for a while. Three months ago I bought this book and studied it hard. Since then, I've been trading much more successfully taking crumbs off good old boys' table.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I have personally watched one of the Authors make money
Review: I only read the primer, which was the basis for this book. The Authors know their subject well, and know how to make money using their own techniques. I was also one of the individuals to use the Datek software as it was being developed. Day trading is a skill and a discipline acquired over time. It is not a "get rich quick" scheme.

I would challenge the Authors to publish the number of people who are sucessful at this game, relative to the number who attempt it.

A book about how to be a sucessful major league pitcher might make an interesting read. However, how many who read such a book have the skills to implement what they read?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book is informative and filled with helpful ideas.
Review: From begining to end this book gave me new ideas that will enable be to secure my future and my families future in an exceptional way.
