Summary: Poorly Written,Badly organized
Review: This book was a major disappointment. The authors write in a confusing way about trading issues that are never fully explained. Not nearly as good as the Patel book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: excellent for a starter in serious trading
Review: This is the first book I brought on trading and really it is the only one you need. It gives the the history and the basics of stock trading. If you follow the adivce given in this book you will do well. Don't expect immediate returns. It takes time to get experinced. I've read many other books but this one gives you all you need. If you can't get going with this book give up!!

Summary: Great Book for Beginners
Review: I learned all I know about the markets from this book. It is a good read and if you follow the tricks and guidlines suggested in the book, you will be a better trader.

Summary: what a waste of money!!! zero star
Review: Not only is the material poorly organized, the book offers very little in terms of useful trading information. The book is basically a plug for the authors' classes and trading firm. The kind of daytrading techniques they advocate will only fatten their wallets. To wit: One of the most successful daytraders that works in their firm who was profiled in some financial magazine actually paid 43% of gross profits in transaction fees!!

Summary: Highly disappointed
Review: The first indication that the author did not have much to say was apparent in the small size of the book. Then, when he tried to say something, he said it rather poorly. The book just couldn't seem to decide what it wanted to talk about. It jumped from topic to topic with no cohesiveness between the sections. In addition, the numerous plugs made was disheartening considering the amount of money I had to spend on this book.

All in all a very basic overview of day trading. Of course I probably could have found ALL the information in this book on the web if I had made the effort. Sorry guys, try again.

Summary: Perfunctory effort - falls well short of the hype
Review: Admittedly the authors know the subject matter, and managed to insert some useful anecdotes, but the presentation is disorganized, choppy and runs off on tangents all too often. However, the real problem is that when you read this you come away with the idea that you just read a college textbook in stock market theory. Anyone who pontificates random walk theory in a book like this should be beamed back to 1975, thank you. Very little on technical analysis and lots on daytrading maxims. The one good section deals with some particulars of NASDAQ level 2 strategy which is a must for any trader - but they tried to cover too many subjects in an inadequate number of pages (especially considering the price!).

May be good for the rank beginner who never heard of CNBC and wants to know the events giving rise to the daytrading boom but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for cohesive trading strategies. And finally (the most distastful aspect) some of the woefully inadequate number of pages were devoted to self-serving hype of their own brokerage products. Do it on your own tab guys.

Summary: This book is "OK"
Review: Informative, especially for newcomers and rookies. However, do not expect your trading to drastically improve by reading this book.

Summary: If you want to be a day trader, don't buy this book.
Review:

Perhaps 4% of this book will be useful if you want to become a daytrader. There is plenty of padding, and background information on how the exchanges work. But if you want to know what a daytrader should do from the moment he awakes till the market closes at 4pm, this book doesn't give you much of a clue. If the authors know anything, they're not passing it on. Can I have a refund?

Summary: first hand knowledge: the authors know there stuff
Review: I am a customer of Broadway Trading (Friedfertig's brokerage firm) and have taken the course offered through Tradersedge.net (West's firm). I got my start by reading this book and I can tell you first hand these two know their stuff. I witness on a daily basis hundreds of individuals including myself make money using the information introduced in this book. Friedfertig and West are not only two very succesful traders who have and do make great livings trading but have taught hundreds to do the same. The majority of their customers make money, with many of the best making millions a fact never mention or bragged about anywhere. (read their second book Electronic Day Traders Secrets', a book of interviews with their best traders). Anyone who disliked this book falls into one of two categories not serious about day trading for a living or just out to slander a competitor. Don't be misled, this book is well worth the read.

Summary: Zero Star Title
Review: Very little information here to help you trade successfully.I'm amazed that anyone could have anything positive to say about this inadequate title.
