Summary: too basic for the experienced, too technical for novice
Review: Being in the industry, i was curious about this book after seeing it being recommended on-line. I was very disappointed by its vagueness and mish-mash of information. It was boring to read knowing about the market and to the novice investor it would have been alittle deep i think. In hindsight i would go to a book store and more carefully review before buying again. No secrets were revealed in this book that any common sense person already knows. I was hoping to see some of their experiences in this book, but to no avail.

Summary: This book never should have been published. I returned mine.
Review: I got through less than a Chapter when I realized this was a terrible book for several reasons. First of all, the authors clearly need an editor. It is so poorly written that I was tempted to mark up the entire book with edits and send it back to the authors for the next edition. Then I realized that there should be no next edition. Also, this book reads like an advertisement for the authors' consulting services. Very tacky. I noticed also that the Co-Founder of Datek Online provides a positive quote in the Amazon review. Don't be fooled: The authors endorse the Datek system.

Summary: A must read! You don't need a seat to make markets anymore!
Review: The first and only book to accurately describe how market makers, specialist and other wall street professionals have long made consistent money day trading. More importantly, explains how anyone from anywhere can use today's technology to apply these same strategies from anywhere.

Summary: good book but not explained real well
Review: the book was good at showing the inner workings of the market and how to day trade it. However the authors did not explain concepts well and if you are a beginner or even an intermediate on investing this will be a hard book to understand

Summary: I read this book 6 times.
Review: I thought this book was fantastic. I had been day trading stocks full time for about 6 months before I read this book, and I found the information in it to be invaluable to me. There are very specific examples explaining how to interpret what the market makers are doing. Further, there is fairly specific information regarding market pull backs, counting levels and increasing my odds of getting in before the next run and getting out before the next pull back. This book is definitely up to date with all of the technology available to day traders. It also explains a lot of technical aspects of the markets regarding specialists, market makers, SOES (small order execution systems) and many more. Being an ex-electrical engineer, I found this book to be very specific, and detailed. I really don't like to read much, but I read this book 6 times in a matter of days. I really liked this book. If you day trade stocks, and use online software with level II quotes, this book is a must.

Summary: Some good information; too disorganized for true usefulness
Review: I found the basic information in the book to be sound. However, the authors had a tendency to use slang and trading terms early in the book without an explanation of their meanings until much later in the book. Including a glossary of terms would have helped tremendously. Instead, the reader is forced to accept these terms without an understanding of what they mean. Hopefully, the reader still remembers the terms later on when (if?) they are finally defined.

Some of the procedures described often repeat steps, and other times are presented in free-flowing text when a bulleted or numbered list would have been more appropriate.

Overall, I found about 25% useful information, 35% unsupported drivel, 25% self-promotion, and about 15% convoluted text that effectively obscured what might have been useful information.

Some of the information provided would be useful to someone already versed in the terms of the trade. However, the density of the material might leave them dissatisfied.

Summary: Incomprehensible to the novice
Review: I'm a retired electronic engineer, and was looking for a hobby that might also provide a few bucks. After reading the book I decided that day trading would be too stressful for me. I then decided to read the book just for a better understanding of the way in which the stock market operates. I found it almost incomprehensible because it lacked discussion of the simple basics of stock trading. Apparently the authors assumed that the reader already well understood the mechanics of buy/sell in the market. One chapter on such material would have opened the way for a person such as myself to read some of the advanced ideas presented. I believe the authors are much better traders than they are writers.

Summary: Correction on my review
Review: Need to correct my review "research" should be "researched" and "sematics" should be "semantics" I am the "internal editor" review Should have edited my review better

Summary: Indispensable for any serious daytrader
Review: I currently trade out of Marc and George's office and witness the success of their philosophy day-in and day-out. Their book is essential for anyone who wants to understand how the NYSE specialists and more especially, NASDAQ marketmakers, profit from price action in stocks. The book has a simple premise - if you trade the way the professionals do, in addition to being disciplined, you will make consistent money. But this is not a get-rich-quick scheme, instead it requires practice, patience and a commitment to following the rules of trading. Those that do will find, as I am starting to, that the rewards are well worth the efforts.

Summary: The Future is here
