Rating: Summary: Excellent Book is the Cat's Meow Review: I agree that this book was really done very, very well! I was struggling with SAP courses for quite a while. The course material is often very cryptic, however this guide was extremely helpful to me in my SAP pursuits. It is my desire to aspire to be a SAP consultant as I have found this subject to be something I really like to do. The ERP market has become so very competitive recently, that I think everyone needs a little help to succeed in this market. My goal is using this text was to prepare myself for the complex subject matter. I felt that even though I was only studying for the HR module, I needed some background information on all of the other SAP modules. To make a long story short, when I went into class armed with some background on the other SAP modules-- my professor was very impressed with my knowledge. This was IN the SAP course itself. When I told the teacher I was using Miller's book to help me-- he was very impressed. The SAP professor told me specifically that he recommends Miller's Certification Guide to help students gain more information about SAP subject matter before taking the course. He was very impressed with my initiative and is now helping me cope with the rigors of the course. All in all, this was a wonderful book and it really helped me out when I needed it most!
Rating: Summary: The Cats Wiskers. The New Benchmark in SAP Writing Review: 2 months ago I was a Y2K consultant scraping to make ends meet, now I a world class SAP guru earning $250 per hour, all thanks to this book! A few months ago I was browsing some of the millions of titles on offer with amazon.com and this book just caught my attention immediately. At the price I just could not believe my luck, "too cheap by half" I thought. I immediately ordered then book and then phoned SAP to register for HR and MM certification examinations. SAP tried to spin me some story that I should first attend some introductory classes and then attend the 30-day academy. From the cover information, I knew that this book was all I needed, thus I could skip those long and expensive SAP courses, a saving of over $12000 dollars! Luckily the book arrived the day before my examinations. "Wow" was all I could say for the next 10 minutes, everything I could imagine was in this book! Each flawless chapter is so intelligently presented, each chapter laying the ground work for the next, so logical, so complete; truly a thing of beauty! Be warned now! the CD is an absolute gem, the crowning achievement of this master work! Somebody told me that it was almost same CD as was in Miller's 1998 ASAP book, but obviously they are mistaken, the CD's have different labels for a start! I got up an extra 2 hours early and read the MM and HR sections, each a full 15 pages of detailed facts, carefully distilled from the 1000's of pages of information normal certification candidates would have needed to absorb. Because of Stewart S. Miller's advanced teaching techniques and precision practice questions 'n answers the exam was just too easy! SAP was so impressed that they immediately offered me a consulting position at $250 an hour, SAP veterans now call me "the gift" and its all thanks to this book and Stewart S. Miller. This is book is fantastic 10+ gold stars!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Reference Review: As an experienced consultant, I wanted to find a good SAP book that would explain the certification process in detail. This book was truly an exceptional reference and helped me get closer to SAP. I realize SAP is a very competitive field and that many people don't understand the depth of this company and what it can offer consultants interested in the various modules. All I can say to you is that if you are looking for a good book that will explain everything you need to know about the SAP Partner Academy-- then you will find this book to be of enormous help. While many SAP books are frustrating to read and understand, I found this one to be very direct and easy to understand. I found that the author was very good because his style is not bogged down in the extensive jargon most of these computer books have. In fact, I found the information well organized and very helpful. In short, this book was VERY WELL DONE. I don't usually write reviews, but I was so pleased with this book I had to make an exception. If you are looking for one of the better SAP books on the market, I very highly recommend Miller.
Rating: Summary: Best SAP Book Review: After trying to call SAP several times in an attempt to find out how to approach the certification process, I felt very put-off. SAP's Certification process of so difficult to find out, I didn't have the energy to fight with the operators who kept sending me from one 800# to another. Then, I saw Stewart S. Miller's SAP book and bought it immediately. Wow! Everything I needed to know about who to contact, what types of courses were offered, and what the certification course asks was in there! This book is worth its weight in gold! I am extraordinarily pleased with this book because it simply offered what SAP could not. I really wanted to get involved with SAP because I have heard so many good things about them, but this book has really supplemented information that SAP does not provide. The combination of SAP Certification and Miller's book really works well together! Overall, this book was exceptional!

Rating: Summary: Don't knock a good thing Review: I purchased this book about a month ago and found some of these reviews to be very amusing. I know by experience that this happens to be a really great book. Seems to me that some of these people don't know a good thing even if it came up and shook their hand. If you are looking for a good manual, you've found it here...
