Summary: Great Reference
Review: This is the best SAP book I've seen. My co-workers and I purchased this book to prepare ourselves so we could break out of the mold management has put us in through our division.

This reference is very clear, concise, and gave us the backroud we needed that no other book was able to provide. It is clear that this is the best SAP reference on the market and we were happy to get it.

Summary: Most Useless SAP Book I've Ever Seen
Review: I bought this book to serve as a good general overview of the SAP modules for some co-workers who are new to SAP. It fails to do that, and I would have certainly been in trouble if I had needed this as a certification study guide.

The book lacks clarity, is repetitious, and has many grammatical errors.

Summary: Worked well for my studies
Review: I read this book with great interest and it was great! I was able to determine exactly what kind of studies I needed and how to pursue them. I know one thing, I wouldn't have gone as far as I did without this book.

Summary: A waste of money
Review: I fail to understand how anyone can pass a SAP certification exam of any kind using this book as their resource. The questions are not even phrased or organised in the same way. The certification exam is mutiple choice, for a start! Like a lot of people I wasted my money on this. It doesn't even make a good paper weight. Spend your money wisely and use SAP's own material.

Summary: Wonderful Resource
Review: Excellent book.

Information helped us significantly. Very complete about SAP product and certification process.

Book was necessary for us to pass certification.

Summary: Certification info is very complete
Review: We bought this book for consultants in our organization so that they could learn SAP and understand how they can get certified. This book was terrific, it helped in every way it said it would.

Highly Recommended.

Summary: Mis-Named
Review: For MM consultants: This book should be titled "A general overview of SAP and what to do if you want to register for the certification exam". If this was the title, I would consider it value for money.

However, the title implies that it will help you to get certified. It has very little useful detailed information and will not actually HELP you pass the MM certification exam. For MM Partner Academy, a course I conduct at SAP, it is particularly useless and I feel so sorry for people who spend the money on this book hoping it will help them pass the exam. The questions listed are not at the right level at all and the answers are often not only completely off the point, but in some cases completely wrong. This made the entire book's credibility questionable. You will notice if you read the above reviews that the most criticism comes from experienced SAP consultants who know enough to judge the content.

There is NO coverage of the level of detail actually required to pass the MM certification. In summary - if you want to pass the exam, it would be better if you read all the configuration and other modular help topics as well as completed either the partner academy training or did some real implementations.

Summary: A tree died for this?
Review: I guess someone could give this book a five-star review if they were the author of the book, or clueless. I suggest you save your money. Having just completed three certifications, I can assure you that the best path to certification is the SAP Academy. This book, contrary to it's claims, isn't any help with the academy courses. If you can't afford the academy, order SAP's online help CD, and study based on the SAP Application Consultant Certification Program white paper. There isn't any super easy way to study for any of these tests, so don't waste this much money on this superficial book.

Summary: Text is very complete!
Review: I found this book to have a really comprehensive level of detail about the SAP product. All in all this book was very helpful to me in my classes. I felt that at least with this book, I was more prepared for SAP and their offerings.

Summary: What a waste!
Review: I borrowed this book from a co-worker. I was curious about it because of the markedly divergent opinions I saw here. I am a SAP certified BW consultant and have been a R/3 consultant for four years.

I sorry to have to tell you that this book will not help you get certified in anything. To pass SAP's certification tests you will actually have to understand the technical material. There are no short cuts or tricks. This book is basically a bullet point list of SAP R/3 facts that are jumbled up in a meaningless order. You will not learn what you need to know to pass any certification test. This book is useless! I'm glad I did not buy it. I hope you don't too.
