Summary: New R.E. Mystery...where did my 14 dollars go?
Review: For fans of Jill, I'm sorry to report that the included poster isn't one for your wall. Jill is only an eye through cracked glass, however, Rebecca Chambers and Chris Redfield are prominantly displayed. Fantasy art fanatics may enjoy its mystery.

You may wonder why I started a review of this book with the poster, well, point blank...it was the most interesting part. If you are looking for the cheap way to beat the game (that's what strategy guides are for) than I recommend surfing the internet on a game site for all clues, strategies, and secrets and leave the 14 dollar price tag in your pocket. Maybe for some pizza while staring at zombies?

I can appreciate the urge to get the book...maybe bathroom reading...maybe you don't have internet access (then how are you reading this? haha) or you snuck a copy of the game in under your parents nose and can't look up the clues on the net. Another look...maybe you want everything associated with the game...understandable.

Where is the review? I bet you're asking yourself that right now. Truth is...read between the lines...the guide proclaims to leave the mystery to the game. That can be appreciated by not revealing cut-scene action (a place the guide goes right by the gamer, because if it was included...why would you play the game?)

My best advice...use the internet...it's cheaper and more thorough.

Summary: If you need it is good...
Review: I bought this guide and didnt use mostly because the puzzles in remake arent that hard, but I would recommend to any fan of the series because its got some good interviews with the devlopers.

Summary: Inefficient Guide
Review: I chose this strategy guide over Prima's version...which was a mistake. This guide lacks detail. It is not specific enough. Also, all secrets are not revealed. I suggest going with Prima's guide.

Summary: A big help for a huge game!!
Review: I found this book to be indespensible when exploring this game. Some of the puzzles and challenges I don't know how I would have figured out without the book. A time saver on levels wherre I was just plain stuck. If you own the game or need help this is the book to have. Also good for figuring out the alternate stories that can take place depending on your decisions in the game.

Summary: A great guide for beginner and expert
Review: I have read other reviews on line about this guide and i don't understand how in the world is this confusing to someone as the people who wrote the book did included all there are to know about the game itself and all the tips and tricks you need to know to survive the horror and to unlock all the cool bonus...There only one thing, they didn't include any of the other cheats which i found out later ... like the ultimate grenade ammo clone.Perharp they want us to pay a bit of sweat when play the game and still that not the reason to take away the 5 stars that it deserve.....Hi hi.

Summary: Better than I thought but compared to Dan Birlew's others...
Review: I'll admit the guide has weakpoints, but also has strong points.

The guide covers both characters in two seperate walkthru's which is okay, a you don't have to do too much exensive reading. The maps are great but when the walkthrough puts all the maps just before all the words, that causes a lot of page flipping to go on. The walkthrough also has many typos and errors, and doesn't always clearly explain what to do during puzzles. Also they're COA (Course of Action if your an MGS fan) isn't the best. Like it says to go blasting Ravens in an area where they only attack if you do the puzzle wrong, and if you mess up you can leave and come back later. Most of their strategies are a HUGE waste of ammo.

The boss strategies are good and they're inventory managements are very good and the walkthrough is very organized.

OVERALL:
Positive
+Good maps
+Inventory checks in every save room
+Organized walkthrough
+Seperate walkthroughs
+Interviews in the back
+Flowcharts

Negative
-Puzzle solutions are downright TERRIBLE (Go to Prima for that)
-The all out KILL EVERYTHING STRATEGY is not smart.
-Not good strategies for killing enemies
-Maps can't always be at the beginning of the walkthrough
-Too many typos and misleads to be very helpful
