Summary: Excellent, Excellent , Excellent!
Review: I'm not much for reviews but I owe it to these authors.... Every time I open this book, I'm amazed at how much information is here. I'm also very impressed with their systematic approach to testing and explaining MS Access. (they're also explaining VB without even meaning to) There has been nothing so far that I could not find an answer to with this book at hand. (I would consider myself an intermediate programmer.)

Summary: Worth it's weight in gold
Review: I was stuck on a fairly sticky issue trying to use Windows common controls that are available in VB but did not seem available in Access. Immediately this book had the answer, and a thorough explanation (with sample code on CDROM) included. This book is DEFINITELY a keeper and I will continue to find many more uses for it. This book is for anyone who wants to make useful Access database applications.

Summary: Not For Beginners; Best Book For Advanced Access Programmers
Review: Short and Sweet: If you are just learning Access, this book will probably drive you insane. It is NOT for beginners who wish to learn about tables, queries, reports, etc. This book is about CODE. However, if you are an intermediate/advanced VBA programmer, this book is a MUST! (I have 2 copies - one at home and one at work.) It will teach you coding techniques that I have not seen elsewhere - and it explains them well. I have many books on Access and some have taught me excellent coding that is not covered in this book. However, if I had to choose just ONE Access book to work with, this would be it. Overall, it is simply the best.

Review: When you are finished with those boring tutorials from other authors, buy this book! It will boost your skills to the next level by providing working solutions for you to build upon and inspire you. A 'Must Have' for anyone passionate about Access programming.For those that say this book is not for beginners, this was my 1st Access book. Most other books are filled with boring tutorials and instructions, but this one cuts to the chase. It has the most bang for your bucks. If you know how to use Access but want to learn how to create solutions with it, get this book!

Summary: Is the best programming book of Access97 I found!
Review: I'm Advanced Access97 Programer. I has made many programs to several important campanies using Access97. I think This Is the more complete explanation of Access97 I've seen. The CD contained in side the book has the best examples than any other book. Specially the VBA examples in detail. I've read All the book complete and I have this book always at hand. Summary: Excellent Book
Review: I am a programmer for a major company and use Access 97 constantly. This has proved to be an invaluable book. It is not written for the beginner but will prove its value for any advanced users. Will take you through learning SQL, Event Procedures, and the ins and outs of VBA. The source code provided with this book is worth the money on its own.

Review: An excellent developers guide for Microsoft Access. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is an Intermediate to Advanced Access developer. Plenty of very useful "extras" that you will not find in Microsoft documentation. I refer to it often.

Summary: This book got me a $10,000 raise and $8,000 in bonuses!
Review: I first started using Access a year ago and went from novice to expert in that short time thanks to this book. I've used it extensively for every application I've developed. I love Access, and have used it to pull off some last-minute wonders for which I was paid handsomely. I couldn't have done it without this book. Now I'm learning Oracle8 and I just hope that I'll be able to find a book for that product that is as good -- somehow I doubt it. This book is the standard to which all computer books must rise.

Compré la edición anterior de este libro (sobre MS Access 95) y le recomiendo comprar este libro a cualquiera que desee desarrollar aplicaciones profesionales en Access 97. Cuando salga la nueva edición (MS Access 2000), les aseguro que la compraré!
