Summary: Sample Code Galore!
Review: This book was written with the everyday developer and everyday problem in mind. Things such as graphics on the web, securing a web application, deploying a web application, User Controls, and much much more are covered. There is much more than just great souce code. Many of the authors are well known corporate trainers who have worked in the 'real world' and understand what developers need to solve 'real world' problems. As a result of their teaching experience, the explanations in this book are top notch. I don't think I have ever read a book that was so easy to read and so applicable to my everyday development. My entire development team has purchased it and if you are an intermediate to advanced ASP developer then I highly suggest you get yourself a copy.

Summary: Pretty poor book
Review: This is a pretty poor book! I have been doing ASP development for 5 years and I found this book pretty useless.

They have alot of code examples, but don't really tell you how to put them together into a project.

This would definitely not be a good choice for someone new to ASP development.

Summary: Not a bad book
Review: This is an ok book. This is a good entry level book, the code examples and topics are definitely for the beginner. The problem I have is with the books title, I would expect this book to be about more advanced topics than it really is.

This is typical of many of the first books regarding asp.net, to many subject areas and therefore not a significant amount of depth in any area.

Summary: Can't do without it.....
Review: This is basically the 'next level'.....when you're finally finished with the basic understanding of the new DotNet paradigm and you really want to get started doing something for real - this is the book to get...

From Validation, Code Techniques and ADO.Net all the way to Web Services, Mobile Controls and Performance tips - this book is worth its weight in gold.

Summary: Just incredible
Review: This is in your face close and personal up to the point consice book for the real programmer. No kiddie stuff in here like 20 pages on how to open a connection or how to install SQL Server. If you are an expirienced programmer and want to learn ASP.Net then this is the book for you (and I mean expirienced programmer in an real programming language... not an Web Developer that does not know what an integer is.)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent Book
Review: You must have it on top of your desktop... It will HELP you when you most need it.
