Rating: Summary: The world needs more authors like these Review: It's not every day you find books which document and explain really advanced, esoteric details in practical terms. Broad subject coverage, meaty well-rounded samples, frank discussion of existing bugs, good index... What more could one ask for? I want a second copy to take home!
Rating: Summary: Why? Review: Because sometimes you just have to pop the hood up
Rating: Summary: Greate Book Review: I am amazed reading all the details. Read this book if you want to understand ATL inside and out.
Rating: Summary: Thank you for a wonderful book. Review: Gentlemen.I greatly appreciate the clear thinking and great tenacity you put into the writing of this book. COM in general and ATL in particular tend to appear like a myriad of secret handshakes and mystical incantations. Your book reveals and explains each secret handshake and removes much of the mystery from the nonsensical incantations that are required to write COM-based products.
Rating: Summary: bad Review: I am really sorry there's no negative numbers available to score this book.
Rating: Summary: Simply the best! Five stars, no doubts! Review: "ATL INTERNALS" is a superb source of information about how ATL works. If you want to be a pro in ATL then go and buy it. I read it TWICE. Never before anything like that ever happened to me! Well done, lads! Thanks!
Rating: Summary: The best book on ATL ever! Review: Sorry, i'm in a hurry. Just wanted to add points to this title. Buy it and you will not regret. The book is excellent!!
Rating: Summary: You can understand ATL by reading it!!! Review: In my first contact with ATL, I thought that I'll never be able about understanding it. Well, if you read this book you're going to understand certainly a lot and, by the way, making ActiveX controls using ATL is totally great!!! I'll recomend you :o)
Rating: Summary: Poorly written/ doesn't flow Review: Yes, maybe one of the best coverages of ATL at a useable level, BUT I think they are poor writers. did there best to write as little as possible and still cover their TOC
Rating: Summary: Best (highly-advanced!) ATL 3.0 book on the market Review: I have them all (and they're well worth having -- at normal consulting rates, a book will pay for itself if it saves you half an hour's worth of effort!), but this one is _the_ best (and has saved me _several_ hours' worth of my time!) -- if, that is, you're already an expert on COM and C++, with some working knowledge of VC++ and ATL (this is NOT, repeat NOT, a _primer_!). Get good primers (Lippman, Grimes, ...) AND this book.
