Summary: Weak on Forms
Review: This book gives a good overview of what you need to know on the exams but does not go in depth enough to cover the tough questions given on the real exam. The explantions are vague and not enough detail. Didnt use it for the first two exams but was definetly not enough for the iz0-121 exam , i did not pass. Thinking about going the release 6i route and take the internet developer exams instead with the book Internet application developer exams I and II. The release 2 , formsI, formsII, and reports are being expired anyhow.

Summary: Provides High Level Information about the Exam Contents
Review: The exams are much more complex compared with the explanation given in the book as well as sample questions. Author has tried to cover everything but not in detail, which does not really help in passing exam. After reading from the book as well as solving all questions thoroughly still you cannot pass exam then it will be disappointing for anyone. So I used this book as a reference, having provided information what are the topics I have to study and having matched with material given by Oracle to check what is covered in exam. I have also used Oracle Online manual help which provides most of the information you required to pass these exams as well as SelfTestSoftware as a good source to know the exact complexity and test questions that you are likely to get in the real exam. The book will drive you to your destination however I am not sure whether you will reach to your destination or not.

Summary: Helpful but incomplete book to pass exams 1Z0-132 and #122
Review: General speaking, this book covers the checklists of exams required by OCP Application Develper most time (but not fully). It is slightly out of date since it was published more than 2 years ago. Form I and II are the weak parts. Introduction to Oracle and Develop PL/SQL Program Units are okay. Report has not been viewed yet, so I don't know how it is.

Review: This book is not only to OCP Certification.
I have learned and very improve my skill of forms and reports with this book. it contains material that you can't find on programming books like advanced forms programming.
You will find and excelent reference of characteristics and features of complete Developer2000 tools.

Summary: Good Review, if a bit dated
Review: This book will help you prepare for half of the OCP professional exams. Oracle has recently changed the format of the exams. Also, the book covers an earlier version of the Forms and Reports. This is not a major problem, but there are differences between Version 6.0 and 6i. I recommend this book for preaparing for the PL/SQL and package protions of the exams. The reader will have to supplement this book with additional preparation for the Forms part of the exam.

Review: I have doubts about the usefulness of this book. There are topic outlines, but the CRAMSESSION OUTLINES
available free on the Internet are just as good. As to practice tests, they are no match for those provided by
SELF TEST software. Makes one wonder why anyone should purchase this book ?

Review: When you studied the book you can pass the exams.
The CD includes the text of the book in HTML format, not PDF. It also includes an exam simulation. But the CD does not include the necessary software to make exercises or experiment with Forms, Project or Reports.

Review: As an Oracle Supply Chain Consultant, I wish I had bought this book a long time ago. It is a great reference for anyone involved in Financials or Supply Chain. It also has one of the best explanations of Flexfields and Workflow I've seen yet. It's just too bad that Oracle discontinued the Certified Financial Consultant path

Summary: Very Thorough
Review: I just finished passing all 5 exams using this book. The books has hundreds of questions-and-answers, and that really helped me prepare for taking each exam. From the front of the book to the back, there must be a thousand different exercises that the book leads you through. Gets it right into your hands! You do have to study, of course. You can't just read the book and then go take an exam...you have to do all the exercises, and then do similar work applying the techniques you just learned to a project of your own. That's what it takes to get any new technique ingrained into your memory. Overall, this book is a great preparation for the exams.

Summary: Lacks substance
Review: I purchased this book because of the prior reviews but I cannot say that this book reflected these reviews. The number of exercises in the book are few and far between. It does not cover about 90% of the test objectives. After reading the sections in this book, I was not prepared for most of the questions on the Selftest Software. The book definitely does not prepare you for the exams. I have successfully passed the first three exams by using online classes along with the Selftest Software and then I purchased this for Forms 2. In understanding how Oracle tests you, I can honestly say that all the areas were covered in my Selftest software but few were covered in the book. Be careful if you are planning to certify. Do not place much weight on this book, This book will not get you the knowledge you need to pass the exams. Disappointed in the lack of substance.
