Rating: Summary: Good, solid book on DNS Review: As with many Administrators and Engineers currently working on rolling out Windows 2000, I have spent the last several months attempting to get a firm handle on DNS. Many books can be found in the bookstore on this topic, but I have found that this is one of the most thorough. It takes a fairly complex topic and presents it in a way that is understandable to someone with a technical background, but who might not have as much DNS experience as he'd like. Having said that, this book is not for beginners, and an understanding of such concepts as networking, Active Directory and TCP/IP will certainly help out when reading portions of the book. It starts with good fundamentals on DNS and builds toward more complex topics, including some very good information on migrating from other versions of DNS to Windows 2000 DNS. All in all, this is a good book and recommended if you need to learn DNS quickly and thoroughly.
