Rating: Summary: Cool Book Review: It has Mew(My 2nd favorite pokemon) in it. It has a lot of information in about Pokemon. It doesn't have all the new Pokemon but the Pokemon 1-151 plus one more pokemon! It is a awsome book!!!
Rating: Summary: Spark the Burning Desire Review: My first Pokemon book. This book explains the fictional world of Pokemon to kids and parents alike. For kids who want to get into Pokemon or just want to see what it's all about, this book is your best bet. I would give it 10 stars if I could...This one only covers the first 151 Pokcket Monsters! It's great!
Rating: Summary: Great book to foster a love of reading Review: My son bought this book during his school book fair this Fall, and by the second day he owned it, the book looked as though it was 10 years old from use. He couldn't put it down. He read it from cover to cover, and then used it to look up information on his favorite Pokemon. He continues to use it months after the purchase. If you have a child who loves Pokemon, but isn't too into reading, try this book, it will foster the love of reading by giving them something they love to read about. I would also recommend the Pokemon chapter books as well.
Rating: Summary: Only 2 new Pokemon -- Where's the other 99!? Review: Sure there's Mew and Togepi, but it was disapointing that all Pokemon exept Togepi #152-251 were missing, especially when this is a revised version of the original Pokemon Handbook. The book dosen't even know Togepi's number! Mew is an improvment, but I'm stll wondering why Pokemon like Chickorita, Pichu, Lugia, Ho-oh and 95 others are not in the book (the book says it's revised. Actually, only 2 Pokemon were added.)
Rating: Summary: It has everything EXCEPT about 100 Pokemon!!! Review: The Official Pokemon Handbook is an excellent guide to Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow, but if you own Pokemon Gold, Silver, or Crystal, this book is absolutely no help at all. In the Togepi entry, they don't even list its number for crying out loud! Aside from that ... error, this book is nigh flawless. The descriptions are helpful, evolutionary data is critical, and the learned move lists help to determine how to raise your team. All in all, a good buy. -Pokemon Obsessive
Rating: Summary: Excellant, informative and funny -- wish #4 was as good Review: The Official Pokemon Handbook was more than I could have hoped for. It not only contained descriptions of the Original 150 Pokemon plus Mew and Togepi, as well as their moves and what level or how they evolved (if they did). Handbook #4, however, merely contained the name of the Pokemon, what moves they had, and how big they were -- it was complete, describing only the new Pokemon in Ruby and Sapphire but not including the old ones who stayed on the the current versions. #4 is only available for distribution through the school market.
Rating: Summary: POKEMON BOOK Review: This book is geat, but with a few flaws, and here thet are:1.L.T surge eloved his raichu so he never learned the speed attacks like quick attack, not electic attacks! 2> It say's that you beat Lorelei with Fire and Rock types.3: she did'nt include Evee, Nidoking, and Arcanine in the list of Gary's pokemon.Other than that the book is the best... It's great for people who are just getting introduce to the pocket monster (JAP. for Pokemon) craze.
Rating: Summary: The Best Pokemon Handbook Made! Review: This book is the best Pokemon Handbook. It gives many information and none of the information are lies. The author must be a Pokemon expert which is great. It's really good to hear that some people really appreciate Pokemon. I think that the author should make another book, except more updated with new species of POkemon. I would really like that. My cousin owns this book. I would really want to buy a new, up to date one.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Review: This book is the greatest and trying to find information about certain pokemon is hard. As a pokemon collector and researcher this book was very helpful to me. My little brother used to have battles with me but would forget the attacks. After I bought the book we both knew each pokemon and their attacks by heart. I would have rated the book 100,000,000 but Amazon only had the rating going up to 5. Thanks!
Rating: Summary: Extremely Helpful In The Pokemon Topic Review: This book tells everything: what Pokemon is about, how trainers use Pokemon in battle, what happens with them, and even their status. The book lists info on a complete 152 pokemon, and that's a lot of Pokemon. This book also has info on some of the trainers that you see on the popular anime show. So if you're new in Pokemon, buy this book.
