Summary: Very Good
Review: *I read this ebook and it helped me a lot in my presentations.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Humorous and helpful!
Review: ... this short and to-the-point guide to bad PowerPoint is well worth the price. No sooner did I read it, then I was subjected to listen to not one, but TWO decks of PowerPoint slides read to me for over an hour. Painful! I gave him a copy of this guide right after the meeting!

Summary: How to ripoff a couple of backs: (and how to avoid it)
Review: Absolutely no help at all---want to know how to avoid buying this book and save a couple of bucks? All he says is don't use outlines and bullit points. Instead use pictures and write your presentation so that the slides carry an emotional impact. Think there has to be more for the money? Yea, I thought so too. Don't believe that can be the whole thing? Okay, I tried to warn you.

Summary: How to create TV commercials
Review: According to this little e-pamphlet, communication is the transfer of emotion, and effective presentations should therefore involve lots of pictures and no more than six words on a slide. Ok, maybe if you're selling Volkswagens or Coca-Cola. Godin seems to have forgotten the other purpose of communication: to convey information. If you give presentations in which style, however nice, comes second to content, look elsewhere for advice.

Summary: For the beginner
Review: Don't expect a detailed review about how to make your point during a presentation. The author's description is brief. An excellent quicklist of "do"s for a reasonable prep prior to your next successful presentation. You may have to learn the "how to" from other sources. This material made me think long and hard about my next presentation. Planning for the next meeting has been substantially improved.

Summary: A donation for some quick advice. Don't expect a book.
Review: From what I got, this feels like a different transaction than buying a tanglible good. Consider instead that you are giving $2 to a guy on the street to hear 5 minutes worth of his advice. And like giving money away on the street, you trust it will be put to good use, in this case the author says 100% of his proceeds will go to charity.

Summary: Good advice in little space
Review: Granted this is not an indepth look at how to present, but it certainly provides some advice that most PowerPoint presenters could use. And, I'm not a seller, but a teacher -- teachers above all else need to keep the points presented here in mind. Learning is also an emotional experience (I'm sure there are some really boring intellectuals out there who would disagree, but for the classroom teacher - kindergarten through at least junior college -- if the student doesn't become somehow connected to the subject matter it will be retained only as long as the test). The sad part of this presentation is that those who really should read this already think they know everything there is to know about PowerPoint evidenced by their use of absolutely every font and gimmick the program provides. I always use this when teaching a PowerPoint class -- great example of less is more. Well worth {it}.

Summary: Really bad powerpoint
Review: I agree with the title 'really bad'. The only good thing about buying this e-book was that the money is donated to charity. On the other hand don't waste your time.

I could not find any real substance in the authors advice (except what common sense tells you anyway).

Summary: Complete Waste of Money
Review: I am in complete agreement with reviewer No. 1: This little piece of cheese was useless and worthless. I want my money back. Again, I wish there were a "no star" category.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Really BAD PowerPoint is well worth your time to read.
Review: I have been put to sleep at so many PowerPoint presentations to verify that Seth Godin knows exactly what he is talking about. Thank you Seth for a great precise outline to follow in presenting a great PowerPoint program that can "knock 'em dead".
I plan to utilize your advice to a "T" to knock 'em dead myself!
