Summary: Great Starter Book with Great Examples.
Review: This book is a great starting place for anyone who wants to learn ASP. Although you should have basic knowledge of programming techniques and theory. I bought this book a week ago and am almost done with it. I've already implemented what i've learned and made a little money on the side. The book has paid for itself already!

Summary: Very Impressed
Review: I have just finished reading this book (though not in 21 days) and I can candidly say it is excellent. The style of writing makes it more comprehensive than many others and I would definitely recomend it for anybody from a novice background like me.There is one shortfall that you only discover after you have finished the book...There is no "Sequel" to it. By the time you finish the book, you get the feeling that you have gone far in ASP; to be honest, the book takes you a long way but you would still have a long way to go. There is no advanced version of this book so you would probably end up buying the Professional ASP book from wrox which is writen well but not in same style as this book, there is a slight learning curve in adapting the the new learning style. But still...this is the best book for an absolute beginnner!

Summary: SAMS Teach Yourself Active Server Pages 3.0. is superb
Review: I just finished SAMS Teach Yourself Active Server Pages 3.0. It is probably the best written technical book I've ever read. The examples were very good. The explanations were excellent. And most of all, just when I was starting to feel really overwhelmed, they'd put a line in telling me not to worry, we'd go over the topic more in detail later. The timing of their encouragement was impeccible. I really enjoyed this book and learned so much from it.

Review: Even my natural-born language not being english i could understand the book. Yes i know a bit. But, that's not the fact. The fact is that the book is very well : organized, written, explained, divided. Really, i have read some of it's reviews before buying it, and - as it was five stars rated - i bought it. Now it's here(im on day4) and I AM LEARNING. I didnt finished the book yet because i dont have the time. Must be day-by-day. So, guess what? Buy it now. ( ) END

Summary: Excellent Beginner Book
Review: I didn't know squat about ASP, but I found this book very easy to follow. It takes you step-by-step through everything so there is very little that can go wrong. I was so thrilled the first time I got my webpage to read an Access database. I highly recommend this book.

Review: I bought this book a few weeks ago after reading the reviews on this site. This book is everything that others have written---and more! I don't know, but there seems to be something about the book that brings it to the top of the stack. Is it the authors' style? The subject matter? The depth and breadth of coverage? The layout of the contents? The exercises? Or a combination of the above? If you are interested in learning ASP the easy way, this is the book for you. You will learn all the relevant concepts that you need to help you develop great websites without being bogged down with confusing information. So far, this is numero uno among all my books on ASP. The authors deserve an award for a job very well done!

Summary: I didn't like it
Review: A typical "gotta write a lot of pages to get more pay" book. The authors spends page after page saying the same things and explaining at length the obvious parts of their examples. Yet, even though they are so talkative they repeatedly fail to explain what they do when they introduce something NEW. Seriously, you want the new elemtns explained, not the old ones, don't you? I'm an experiecned web developer but haven't worked sith VB Script or ASP before. If you are like me and want to learn ASP quickly from a programming background, you'll find the book tedious and ineffective. Maybe it is good for complete beginners who haven't ever programmed anything at all,but I doubt it.
