Summary: How did I manage this before?
Review: This is the best VBScript I have ever read. Explanations when appropriate, examples where needed, and a virtually complete reference section, formatted exactly as a reference book should be - command, syntax, parameters, returns and examples. Easy to find exactly what you are looking for. This book has save me a considerable amount of reference time, as well as giving me the info I needed when I needed it. My hat off the authors, this book is worth every penny I paid for it - and then some.

Summary: Great Reference Book
Review: This is the only book that I use on a daily basis. The opening chapters are not the greatest, but the reference section is nicely layed out. It includes syntax, descriptions, and examples for all the functions, methods, and objects. I especially love the appendix that breaks down language elements by category (ie all the String functions in one listing).

Summary: An excellent reference
Review: This was the best book purchase I've ever made (or at least recently). The reference in indispensable. If you write ASP pages or WSH scripts in VBScript, GET THIS BOOK! You won't regret it.

Summary: Decent book for certain VBScript purposes.
Review: This was the book I started out with learning VBScript and ASP. It is a fairly decent quick way to get into the language. This book starts out in tutorial mode for the first 200 pages, then the next 300 pages is reference. I found it a bit hard to follow in the tutorial section. I suggest this book for people who want a quick reference, not a complete reference.

Summary: Who should read this book?
Review: To quote the author "This book is aimed at experienced VBScript developers or experienced developers coming to VBScript for the first time... " Strange then that there should be sections explaining what variables and constants are or how to debug a program. I liked the language reference though, much easier to digest than Microsoft's own online resource.
Four stars as the dross only comprises about fifty pages in the otherwise highly relevant four hundred.
