Summary: Save 20 days!!!!
Review: Mr. Liberty!! You should tell all the people that they don't need to take 21 days to learn C++, they can use your other book to Teach Themself C++ in 24 hours!!!! They could spend the other 20 days teaching themself brain surgery!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent book for program who doesn't know C++.
Review: It is an excellent book for a programmer who is familiar with other language. It is a extemely well explained book and the chapters flow of this book is also well planned. If you are a VB programmer, like me, you will learn OOP without the slightest confusion. This book not only taught me C++ but also OOP.

Summary: 21 days?--NOT!
Review: Ok, the book was pretty good, but if you honestly think you can finish it in 21 days, you're kidding yourself. Unless of course you have no school/job/girlfriend/life.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A readable book and educational too
Review: I am about 2/3rd of the way through the book and have found it a satisfying read. The material is discussed clearly, in easily digestable chunks, with plenty of small easy to understand examples to illustrate the points made. Though the book is not written for me (I am an experienced C programmer), I would not hesitate to recommend it to my other C friends when the time comes that they want to learn how to think in C++.

Summary: NOT for beginners
Review: The author claims this book is suited for someone who has never programmed before! BZZT! but thank you for playing! I am an experienced IT professional with over 25 years years of experience who knows Fortran, Cobol, Pascal, PL/1, C and about 5 different operating systems. Sorry, but this book just doesn't cut it! Learned C from the Sams "Teach Yourself C in 21 Days." This book, however, is not nearly as clear. It failed right after day 5 IMHO!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book is easy to read and is good for self teaching
Review: I have been reading technical books for years and I am glad to see that they are getting better. This book explains complicated topics for the novice, and provides good supporting examples and exercises. Two thumbs up for the author.

Summary: teach yourself C++ in 21 Days by Jesse Liberty; 2nd Edition
Review: I purchased the book teach yourself C++ in 21 Days which was also the first book that I bought through Amazon Press. I have to say that of the few self help styled books that I have used on various subjects like QBasic, Unix, Windows NT etc. yours was by far the easiest and best written one. I have already recommended it to several of my friends and applaud you on the high standards you upheld in writing and editing this book. In the future, when the occasions arise, I will first look to you to see if the topic I am looking for is one of yours.

Summary: C++ in 21 days is selling like hot cakes!!!
Review: I am a new student at Florida Tchnical College and I am enrolled in the C++/Java course. Until my purchase of Jesse Liberty's " Teach yourself C++ in 21 days" I was in serious danger of failing my C++ course. In just one week of reading Mr Liberty's book I have made a dramatic turnaround. This increase of understanding has not gone unnoticed. Several of my class mates have gone out and purchased a copy of the book and have asked the school to consider adding the book to the curriculum. This book is the best so far for the new programmer. My professor has also purchased a copy of the book and is encouraging students in his other classes to do the same. Thank you very much Mr. Liberty for sharing your knowledge of C++ in such a comprehensive way! The knowledge gainned far over rides the Typo's. Future C++/Java programmer!

Summary: C++ makes complex program language comprehensible
Review: I have been reading various material to increase my understanding of computer functions and process. I have previously come across concepts that I had great difficulty understanding. Jesse Liberty's C++ in 21 days touched on several of these concepts and made them understandable as a part of the basics of the course. A really unique talent for any author, but especially programming language. I looked at other books, one written specifically for my compiler, and abandoned them as inadequate compared to this book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent Book for First Time Users of C++
Review: Jesse Liberty has done a remarkable job of writing a self teaching course on C++. I have shown other people the book and they say that they are getting some of the same kind of course work in College. For a person who loves programming and programming languages, this book is a good intro for beginners to a new programming language. I hope that Jesse Liberty comes out with more detailed and indepth books on this languages and other languages Thank You, Devin J. Olmes
