Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Wealth of Security Information
Review: This book covers all aspects of security and the blueprint that CompTIA has posted on their website. If you are in need of a study or referecne guide this is the book for you!! Good luck to all the people who are striving to attain the CompTIA Security+ Certification.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good study manual... but be careful!
Review: This book is a really good Securty+ study manual, but there are significant pitfalls to be aware of. Like all of Bill G's products, it usually assumes that Microsoft software is the only and/or best solution to every possible computing need. CompTIA tests are supposed to be *vendor neutral*, but this book doesn't quite make it there. As a matter of fact, if you've been a computer user since the early days you might get downright offended at parts of it. Be sure that you keep this in mind and pick up something from another publisher to back up your studies so you'll be sure to learn about the rest of the non-Microsoft computing world.

Summary: This could only be used as additional text
Review: This book nicely presents and explains most of comptia's security+ objectives but is unable to provide sufficient depth required in the topics to pass the test. This book can only be used as an addition to your main preparation material.

Summary: Be careful -- there are better books out there.
Review: To sum this one up, Microsoft should stick with software. Plus they have carried bugs from the software over to their books. Reccomend you go with Exam Cram or even the Dummies book!
