Summary: very good, but not perfect
Review: Of the two books that I used to prepare for the Server+ exam, this one was by far the better book. Yes, there are numerous typographical, grammatical and punctuation errors throughout the book, however all the information needed to pass the exam is present, the book is well organized, and it is written in a clear and very readable style. This book could benefit from a once-over by a professional editor and perhaps a redesign of the cover, but other than that this book does get the job done, if you can tolerate the typos. If I could give half stars, I would give this one 4 1/2 stars, with the 1/2 star deducted for all of the typos and other superficial errors in the book.

The Server+ is a very difficult and, in my opinion very subjective exam. The study questions in the book are a lot easier than the actual questions in the exam, so don't let them fool you into a false sense of confidence. There are numerous questions on the exam where you are given a scenario and asked to pick the most appropriate next step that needs to be done, where several of the answers contain things that really need to be done and picking one over another in my opinion is really trivial. If you read this book very carefully and take ALL of the information to heart, you should be able to pass the test. It helps to have several years of actual, hands-on experience under your belt in addition to this book, and if you don't have any experience in server management at all, then I don't believe you have any business taking this exam in the first place.

Summary: Good Book!
Review: Very extensive book on areas of server preperation and hardware technology. There is a lot of scenarios and answers to them. I studied the questions, the test in the book, and read most of the book and reviewed before the test from the book.
I Passed but wished I got a better score. The book did help but some of the questions on the test were not found in the book or from my several years of hardware knowledge. If you want to pass with better scores, supplement this book with another well put together book. The book also has some mistakes, not a whole lot but I wish they fixed them before they put it out.

Summary: Finally!!!! A book with truly relevant information!!!!
Review: Finally a Server+ book with information that is actually relevant to the exam it is preparing you for. I have seen too many books out there that have a lot of information that has no relevance to the exam. Well written too. Easy to understand without feeling like you're being talked down to.

Summary: Server+ SKO-001 On target
Review: Being a teacher in this field I was very happy to find a Sever+
Certification study guide that was right on target. The other server+ books
I have reviewed did not cover the exam objectives fully or the author was
not clear on what he/she was trying to get across. The Server+ Certification
Bible is totally different from the rest. It is very clear with explaining
each exam objective fully and does not stray like some of the other books
and teach you stuff you do not need to know for the exam. This book does
have it all and is right on target.

Summary: The best book on the market
Review: I can't believe how easy this book was to read. I think this is the second print of the book because I did not find any errors. I guess they have sold out of the first printing of this book and I can see why. If you are like me and hate studying
for exams, you will probably find most text books dry and boring to read. (...)This book did not let me down, I passed with a 90% only because I knew what topics to focus on because this book did not lie about
what to expect on the exam and this book was NOT boring to read!. The author Trevor Kay really knows what he is doing when it comes to teaching you what you need to know for the exam. I will be buying Trevor's Linux+ Certification Bible next because he has proven to me he is not just an excellent author but an excellent teacher as well.

Summary: Definately NOT RECOMMENDED
Review: You don't have to look far to find errors in this book. There is an error on the front cover. The Exam number is listed as SKO-001 (S-K-Oh hyphen zero-zero-one), the real exam number is SK0-001 (S-K-zero hyphen zero-zero-one). All of the other Server+ books got the exam number right, why didn't this one? The exam number is right there on CompTIA's web site.

This book is absolutely full of technical errors. It has its share of typos as well, but today what book doesn't? The author's style is also a little annoying, but I guess that is a matter of personal taste.

Summary: Dream for the Server+ exam
Review: This is the book you dream for, to learn, understand and pass the Server+ certification. I am so happy that I passed the first time. Thank you!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best of the best
Review: Beyond a shadow of a doubt this is the best book on the market to use for
the Server+ exam. I used this book for a month to prepare myself for the
Server+ exam and I passed just as the rest of the people who used this book.
I can see how the other authors of the other Server+ books are trying to put
this book down with their bogus reviews If you look
at the other server+ books out there on the market you can tell by
comparing them with this book which one is on target and which ones are not
most of the authors of the other Server+ books are not even Server+
certified (what does that tell you?). The author of the Server+ Bible is
Server+ certified! The Server+ Bible is the best of the best for this exam
by far that is why everyone who uses this book passes!! I did along with the
10,000+ people who
bought this book!
Think about it!

Summary: Make this your primary study guide
Review: Before I decided on a Server+ study guide I check out "Server+ Exam Cram",
Server+ Exam Prep: Exam: SK0-001 (wrong exam number it's a O not a 0)" and
Server+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide" these books are very good, but
Server+ Certification Bible by Trevor Kay comes out the winner as far as I'm
concerned. I am only 19 years old with very little network server
experience. I ended up buying the All-in-One book, and the Server+
Bible. The Server+ Bible was the more exam accurate of the two. When I say
accurate I mean that this book was very helpful with helping the reader
understand what to expect on the real exam and what key points to remember.
Now I am going for my MSCE.

Summary: I enjoyed using this book!
Review: This is one of the best books out there on the market.Yesterday I passed the exam. I studied in the evenings after work for about a 3 weeks, and I used only this book and some free online practice test questions. 5 very well deserved stars for Mr. Kay!
