Rating: Summary: VBA Developer's Handbook Review: The book is definitely a treasure and will set on my desk a long time; ready for referal. But it is more of a VB book than anything else. Chapters five through seven were especially helpfull in dealing with classes and error handling. I will say again the book is worth having, but perhaps it's title is a bit misleading.

Rating: Summary: Good VB programming info, not much VBA though. Review: This book is misnamed. It should be the VB Developers handbook. It's a good book for VB and worth having (For that I would give it 4 stars), but if you are looking for information on VBA specifically (as the title implies) you will be sadly disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Well written, well documented, exceptionally thorough! Review: This is a must have book for anyone who wants to move past the beginner of level of VBA (and / or VB in general). The functions alone are worth the investment, but throw in well conceived discussions of class modules, API, networking and file mangement and you've got a classic!
Rating: Summary: Good Intermediate VB book Review: This is certainly the best book on VBA topics I have seen. It is geared towards the intermediate VB programmer. It was a nice change to have a book that is NOT full of fluff and gets to the point right away. Lord knows that many publishers love to pack their books full of useless information to have the appearance of a detailed book. I was looking for some specific information and didn't read through the whole book. But what I did read through I liked. I thought the class module section was well thought out--but geared towards the intermediate VB programmer. I was, unfortunately, disappointed with the books lack of discussion on linking VBA to databases.
Rating: Summary: An advanced VBA reference book Review: This is definitely an advanced level text which I purchased for use in my programming Access 97 VBA. It's ideal use is as a reference for string manipulation, number types, searching and sorting, data structures and class modules, along with other topics. If you like binary search, binary trees and linked lists, this text provides the code. I missed the ability to get memory available and other DOS calls, and this text fills in that gap. In addition, the potential pitfalls with the different number types is extremely valuable, as in my job people tend to get excited about incorrect dollar output. Make sure to also check "Access 97 Developer's Handbook", by Litwin, Getz and Gilbert, along with Susann Novalis' "Access 97 Macro & VBA Handbook".
