Summary: Very poor
Review: The number of books for Oracle Developers is sadly very limited. Probably for this reason, Oracle allowed this nearly useless book to be published. As an OCP Developer, I was interested in an "advanced" book dealing with Forms. The Certification guide is far better. This book never really gets started, instead it meanders from subject to subject, providing nothing in the way of depth. Save your money on this one.

Summary: Finally, a developer book worth having on my bookshelf
Review: There are plenty of beginner books on the market, and some are actually helpful. There was one question that was never answered though -- "OK, I can build a block. Now what? " Peter and Paul have answered this question perfectly. So well in fact that the 1 copy I bought for the office is not enough. This book has become mandatory for my employees to have in their library.Top this off with the interview questions they provide for managers and this book is the most well rounded book to date. If you, or any of your people, are using Developer for your projects, this book is a must.

Summary: Great for forms, not so much for reports
Review: This is a solid reference book for those doing primarily Forms development, but it lacks quite a little in the Reports department. If you're buying it for Reports development, as I did, you'll be disappointed. I have yet to find a very good Reports reference. That said, this is probably the best one out there. The book contains something like 70% - 30% Forms info to Reports info (and that may be a little generous). It does have a few good examples and is an easy read.

Summary: waste of time and money
Review: This slapdash collection of words is a sorry excuse for a book. The only sad thing is that there are not a ton of books out there, so your choices are really limited. This book meanders from topic to topic and spends a lot of pages on forms template. Not much usable code examples to learn from.

Review: This text does not show the advanced components of form and reports as the text promised. Even for the basic material, the verbiage was obtuse and confusing. I would not recommend this book.

Review: Thought this book does not explain any of the subjects in detail but it touches almost all the advanced topics of Oracle Forms and Reports. If a lead can get you going and you can get the details yourself... this is the book for you.
