Summary: A Must Have Book!
Review: Excellant book to become C++ GURU! If you want to learn from the master, this is the book for you. This is a very good reference book every C++ programmer must read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: If you are serious about C++ - you need this book...
Review: This book is an essential reference for C++ as it should be used. Free of any vendor-specific 'warts' on the language, this explains the innate power and possibilities of the language as designed. A very well-used reference on my bookshelf.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great! Summary of what C++ is going to be
Review: If you know C++, it is a good book to update your knowledge. If you don't know, you can get even more. But if you are newer, you better notice some new features described in the book is not now supported by some compilers. But they will support them soon!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A wonderful book, but one that contains some pitfalls.
Review: This is destined to be a classic text. Modeled on the already-classic "The C Programming Language", it is at least as clear and better-organized. Be warned, though, that some of the features covered in this book are not actually implemented in current C++ compilers. This book covers what C++ _should_ be, and _will_ be in a few years. But not quite what it is _today_

Summary: --major revision--
Review: Sometimes a new edition is simply a correction of mistakes. This book is more than that but a complete overhal that brings a great book up to the standard as it stands, while adding the experience of having used the language to its fullest for good and bad results. There is still no better book for finding some feature of the standard and no better place to win a bet about it. Few books deserve a place on my desk, this one has earned it

Summary: Excellent C++ Programming book.
Review: This is the best C++ programming book for the real programmers from the father of C++. No one can better explain other than the father about his offshoot.

Bjarne is good technical book writer too... apart from programming...

Summary: Simply put it is the bible of C++
Review: If you have ever wondered how you could answer some of the questions you have in C++ and wished there was a book or somebody to ask, then your prayer have been ansewred, here is it the book by Bjaren Stroustup. A book written so good you need to read it everyday, as you read the bible for guidnace to your life, you should read this book for guidance to C++

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best book for C++ programmers
Review: If you use C++ this is the book for you

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: If you want C++, you want this book!
Review: How could someone start programming C++ in a professional way without having read this book? In no way! Reading this book from the inventor of C++ (among the other books from Bjarne...) will save you from having to read a dozen of other book covering the same subject. I have this book two times in my bookshelf: One in English, the original; and one in my own mother language (german). Perhaps I should buy the chinese version, too... :-)) greetings, Bruno Dickhoff, Duesseldorf, Germany

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You MUST read this book!!
Review: This book is unequaled in terms of topic coverage and usefulness of the material. The examples are professionally written production code (no cutesy, throw away examples here). This is by far the best book about C++, even if you already consider yourself an expert
