Rating: Summary: Updated comments about AutoCAD 2000 VBA Review: Anyone looking at this book should also look at <www.wrox.com> and checkout an updated description as well as a complete table of contents for the book. This book will cover all the new features offered in the latest (2000) release of AutoCAD.
Rating: Summary: Put this book under your pillow at night! Review: Great book for beginners and intermediate programmers. Want to learn VBA in AutoCAD? This is the book to get. It contains tons of sample code and a full object reference in the appendix.
Rating: Summary: A Good Desk Reference Review: I am a complete novice to AutoCAD VBA and this book was highly recommended. I found it to be a good book for explaining the terminology of VBA. It is well ordered and concise. However, I think that most beginners like myself need a book that is a level below this one. A book with step-by-step explantionsof how a code works with many examples would be more useful for a true novice.

Rating: Summary: AutoCAD 2000 VBA : A programmers Reference Review: I have only recently delved into the further workings of AutoCAD 2000 and thought I'd try my hand at VBA Programming. So I bought this book. As an beginner to programming in general (though not to VB6) I thought the book would be a little above my experience.......WRONG!! This book is an excellent publication for beginner to intermediate users. If, as a VBA programmer, you can't find anything useful in this book then maybe you need to consider your career..........Absolutely outstanding
Rating: Summary: An excellent resource for A2K VBA. Review: I just bought this book and I think it is an excellent book to learn VBA within AutoCad. I took a class in Autocad VBA back in the summer and got a copy of Using Autocad with Visual Basiic but found this books content a little lacking in terms of demonstrating the overall power of VBA. Autocad 2000: A VBA programmers reference is very good in exploring the Autocad object model as well as providing lots of sample coding. Also includes an extensive reference of Autocad VBA objects, methods and properties. An excellent book overall.
Rating: Summary: Covers the bases Review: Joe Sutphin covers the broad spectrum of AutoCAD VBA pretty effectively. My number one reference source for programming in ACAD. Much like a dictionary or thesaurus for VBA in ACAD.
Rating: Summary: My (Programming) Bible Review: One of those rare books that can be used as both a how-to guide as well as a handy quick reference. The first part is the more how-to, sample code section, that you'll use in the beginning. The second half of the book is a handy breakdown of the AutoCAD object model that you'll use more as you gain experience - thought the first part is so well laid out, that it can also be used for this purpose. If you know AutoCAD and VB, this book should be enough for you to begin creating your first VBA apps in AutoCAD. Highly recommended

Rating: Summary: Really great book to keep close. Review: Thank you for this great book. I'm a biginner and this is exactly the type of book on VBA I was looking for. It's technical, well organised and I feel it will be a book to keep close even when I'll be more at ease with this language. Great Work Mr. Sutphin,
