Summary: GREAT book for the begginer drafter!
Review: As an autocad instructor for architecture students, i trully recomend this book, it covers the basic 2D drawing techniques and all the commands needed for architectural drafting

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: No Architecture Here
Review: except for some of the illustrations, which could have been anything, as a famous man once said. This is a general concepts book, that's all, and the price is too high. Get Omura's Mastering AutoCAD 2000 instead...better discussion of general concepts, and even some architectural examples...and the price is much easier to take. Maybe there's a real "AutoCAD for Architects" book out there, but I haven't found it yet.

Summary: average
Review: Good for beginners. Poor binding the book is falling apart.

Summary: This book is titled incorrectly
Review: The guts of the book are just plain stuff for beginners. The illustrations are of an architectural nature, yes, but the book says almost nothing about creating anything like those illustrations. For instance, all of the illustrations use a hand lettered font that does not ship with AutoCAD, and nowhere is it explained how fonts are copywrited or even available outside the boxed version. Plus, much of the presentation is misleading - it seems that the book is edited for newer version by pasting more stuff onto the end of a chapter. Some key points are just plain wrong. Architects! pass this one up. Worthless to you.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: COMPREHENSIVE AND EASY TO USE!
Review: This book has given me a great foundation to begin my career. After considering other books on the market, I found Autocad 2000 for Architecture to be very infomative, well constructed and easy to use.

Summary: Architecture??
Review: This book was a great disappointment. The title is especially misleading. The figures in the book just happen to be architectural drawings, but could have been anything. If you are interested in Architectural drafting using AutoCad, look for another book. If this book had been titled correctly I would have given it 2 stars. No meat!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Informative, well thought out with a good format
Review: This is one of the few books that I have purchased over the last 2 years that were worth the cost I paid. I will keep this instead of selling it back to the student store because it has proved to be a good reference.
