Summary: A Matter of Style
Review: Didn't like it. Felt the style of the art was too dark. I was expecting to see more classic styled characters. Instead it was all artists interpretations of the various characters of the Marvel Universe.

This book was a gift for a child. Some of the drawings of women are questionable. I have decided not to give it to the child. The book received good ratings from other customers. It just wasn't to my liking.

The quality of the book itself was good. Very colorful and the paper quality was very good (no seeing the picture on the other side of the page).

Summary: A Feast for the Eyes of Marvel Fans
Review: The Art of Marvel Comics is, in two words, jaw-dropping. Compiling the collected works of some of the comic book industry's giants, such as Alex Ross, Bill Sienkiewicz, Joe Quesada, and Moebius (among many others) this collection is a celebration of the great iconic superheroes that we all grew up with: Spiderman, Daredevil, the Hulk, the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and many more. A feast for the eyes that finally gives love to the old school fans of the House of Ideas, and finally puts together several fantastic pieces that have been floating around for years, such as Moebius' unique take on various Marvel Heroes such as Iron Man and the Punisher, and Mr. Sienkiewicz's stunning rendition of Elektra, to name a few, all in one sumptuous hardcover volume. Whether a fan of Marvel or their Distinguished Competition, this is a must-have edition for all True Believers. Buy it now.
