Rating: Summary: More great Hägar! Review: This 4"x7" paperback book is a collection of Hägar the Horrible comics by the incomparable Dik Browne (1917-89). Here in this book are many adventures of Hägar, his friend Lucky Eddie, his formidable wife Helga, his beautify though self-conscious daughter Honi, his bookish son Hamlet, and Hägar's less than competent crew. In this book, Hägar must face a disobedient boomerang, angry gods, enemy armies, the devil, and (most frightening) a very angry Helga!Recently, while digging through an old box full of books, I came across several of my treasured Hägar books, of which this is one. My children (girl eleven, boy eight) grabbed it away from me, and were soon happily reading the jokes out loud to all present. It is so nice to see that Hägar can entrance the young of today, much as he did me. My personal favorite is when Hägar checks the cows to get a weather forecast, my wife liked Hägar's diet, and my children really loved seeing a devil with a red beard and horns who looked just like a certain Viking we all know! We all love this book, and you will too. If you can get it, then do so!
