Review: Each page of this book presents a whimsical view of the reality of Christian life. As an elder, I found this book a suprisingly humorous, fresh and accurate look at everyday attitudes and actions I see every day. The author helped me see humor in many situations, from struggles in theology to its general mis-application, but always as life is lived out. Author and artist Judd recreates many of the thoughts I dared not share, but has done so in a very disarming way. I would recommend this book for the pastor who needs to laugh -in private, and the elder who needs to see himself in the mirror, and the Christian who can't understand why the church is the way it is. Most of all, it will help you endear the Body as God sees it, sometimes with pity, most of the time with humor, but always in love. I reccomend this book as an inexpensive, but invaluable reference book, as a gift to a fellow believer or for the pastor / elder who has most everything but a sense of humor. It puts "humor" back in the "humerous (funny bone)." Oh, and his humor is much better than mine. (I picture him as a "Bill Gates" looking type guy, but wouldn't it be a scream if he was a big tough ex-marine type!) Anyway, for the price, Amazon is offering a steal here. Buy it, you won't be dissapointed.
