Review: What at first sight seems like a bizarre offering - a manga version of a hit Western animated feature film, and coming out a long time after the theatrical release - is in fact a must-have!

Tokyopop and Hiromi Yamafuji have created a delightful rework of the film, drawn in classic manga style. It is a little disconcerting to see the well-known characters in a new light, but it quickly becomes refreshing and highly enjoyable to a Western reader (like me). The story is 'adapted' too - for example, the Himalayan scene is gone, much of the dialogue is changed, but somehow it all works wonderfully and you never get the sense that it's 'wrong'.

In short, I love this book. A great addition to my burgeoning collection of M.I. stuff... :)
