Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: An enthusiastic thumbs-up! Review: This graphic novel is really four stories packed into one. The first is the official movie adaptation, and covers the whole story as presented on the wide screen. (As a matter of fact, I now have a clearer idea of what happened to David Banner.) I must admit, though, that it is a little cut down from the movie, and some of the detail got lost. The second story is from Incredible Hulk #34, and covers Bruce's attempt to save a young man from joining a gang. The third story is from the Ultimates #5, and pits the Hulk against the Avengers. (OK, I didn't much care for this one - a hippy Thor, a lustful Hulk, a public-flashing Wasp, a face-kicking Captain America.) The fourth and final story is from Ultimate Marvel Team-Up #2 & #3, and pits the Hulk against Spiderman. (The artwork is a bit Freakazoid-ish, but the story is pretty good.) So, this book is something of a mixed bag. The different stories all come from different angles, show different ideas of the Hulk, and treat their subjects differently. My son liked the movie, and really liked this book. He gives the book an enthusiastic thumbs-up!
